Scone (Thursday) Betting Preview & Tips

Betting tips for every race at Scone. Today’s best bet is in race 2

Wed, 29 Nov, 12:00 AM

Scone for Thursday racing here in NSW, we usually see some smart horses come out of Scone and the big track gives all horses a chance at winning. Track should be good and the rail is in the true.

QUADDIES (races 5-6-7-8)

Skinny Play:  1,4  -  1,3,4  -  6,7  -  6

Wide Play:  1,4,5  -  1,3,4  -  1,6,7,9  -  1,6

Next Best Bet: R8 – 6. IMPERIAL EAGLE

Best Roughie: R3 – 14. SEPOISED

R1 – 1.15pm. Kia Ora 3yo Maiden Plate - 900m.

No4 LA VIDA LOCA comes out of some solid enough races in metro QLD. Coming back to country level fresh for Cavanough I have to be with her.

No7 SWIZELER on debut for Smith here looks to be well placed, the trials coming in were good.

No8 ZEGOTA comes out of some stronger races than this and should improve for that.

No1 LA PONT has to be watched from a betting point of view here, plenty of trials coming in and Lees is very shrewd.

R2 – 1.50pm. Buy A Turangga Yearling Maiden Handicap - 1100m.

No3 BRAY (BEST BET) have always been a big fan of this horse, he trialled in awesome fashion leading into his debut and then was thrown into the deep end in Sydney and did a lot wrong in the parade, etc. He was three lengths off Black On Gold in a maiden last time in and that is more than good enough for this.

No6 MAXIMA comes out of a good race on debut when well backed. He should be better for the experience.

No4 AGGARWAL gets a soft run on the map from the gate and should run well on debut.

No9 YOU LITTLE BEAUTY has trialled well enough to run well on debut.

R3 – 2.25pm. Yarraman Park Maiden Plate - 1300m.

No9 TEARS OF GOLD resumes for the new trainer here and comes out of some ok enough races at the first prep.

No5 BIG CALL should be much fitter for the first-up run at Newcastle and back at home second-up should run well.

No14 SEPOISED (BEST ROUGHIE) pulled up with excuses last start and should have won on debut, expect her to bounce back.

No12 FOREVERLY charged home on debut at Wellington, to the bigger track here, she should run well.

R4 – 3pm. Stratum Star @ Widden Class 1 Handicap - 1400m.

No1 BANNER SEASON comes out of a good race first up and drops in grade here, at his best he can blow them away.

No2 CALABASH EXPRESS doesn’t have the greatest looking records, but is an honest enough type.

No5 MAGIC CHOIR has been going well enough as of late and gets a race run to suit here.

No3 BEND IT LIKE BENNY will be up on speed and give sight in what is a weak race.

R5 – 3.35pm. Emirates Park Benchmark 65 Handicap - 1600m.

No4 FACE LIKE THUNDER gets in well at the weights here after the claim, and gets back onto dry going which suits.

No1 HUSSWICK is a grand old horse in these parts and has been going well enough, Dolan is a competent enough rider.

No5 LADY MARMALETTA gets the best jockey here in R King and the booking of her helps, up to 1600m is suitable.

No9 WE’RE SMOKIN won well last week and the step to 1600m here looks suitable.

R6 – 4.10pm. Vinery Class 1 Handicap - 1400m.

No4 TYCOON STREET has quite a good record built up, I don’t think the tight track suited last start when winning and the open expanses of Scone help more so.

No1 IMMUNE won well on debut at Goulburn, the form should hold up well out of that race.

No3 THE KISS drops in grade here from a solid race at Newcastle and should take up the speed from the gate.

No5 BETTER THAN LEGO won well at Tamworth last start and gets in well after the claim.

R7 – 4.45pm. Super One @ Newgate Benchmark 59 Handicap - 1300m.

No7 MARATHON has built up quite a good record and should jump and run them along here.

No6 MUNJAI was in the money last start at Kempsey and gets a dream run just behind them here.

No9 STILL UNDAUNTED has been going quite well as of late, back to 900m he is drawn to get the last shot.

No1 TABROBANE won well last start at Tuncurry, back to 900m is a touch of a concern.

R8 – 5.25pm. Ellerston & Horsepower Class 2 Handicap - 1100m.

No6 IMPERIAL EAGLE (NEXT BEST) should just be winning this if he is at his best, his wins last time in were nothing short of awesome. He ran into a smart colt last start at Grafton too, and the form out of that race is always good. He looks well set up for a kill fresh.

No1 WAR HERO was just touched off last start, he bumps into a smart one here, but is a nice prospect.

No7 NOBODY drops in grade from city races and should run well for G Ryan.

No5 COSMIC REIGN resumes here and should run well, but will improve with the run.
