QUADDIES (races 5, 6,7,8)

Skinny Play:  2,3/6,7/2,4/1

Wide Play:  1,2,3,9/1,6,7,8/1,2,4,8/1,2,3,10

Next Best Bet: R7 – 4. FIRST CRUSH

Best Roughie: R3 – 4. DESIRABLE MISS

R1 - 12.38pm. UD TRUCKS VCV GOLD COAST QTIS Two-Years-Old Fillies Maiden Plate - 900m.

No1 BRAVE JEWEL At first start was a good third behind two smart horses at the Sunshine Coast. Nicely bred and has race experience.

No4 HOLDIN’ MY OWN Started $1.50 favourite at first race start and finished last. Has since won a trial and there were excuses last time.

No5 JULIANNE’S WISH Entered and scratched a few times lately. Bred for speed and has trialled nicely.

No6 JUST GIVEME RUBIES Good trial winner at Deagon in preparation for race debut here. Barrier is no help this trip.

R2 - 1.13pm. BRISBANE ISUZU QTIS Two-Years-Old Colts & Geldings Maiden Plate - 900m.

No3 JUST FAVULOUS Failed at first start when well backed and finished last on a bog track. Better on firm going and is related to some very smart horses.

No2 FALVELINO First starter who has not trialled. But trained in Toowoomba and stable noted for first-up coups.

No7 SIXTY ONE TIGERS First starter who has been scratched a few times lately. No official trial but from a smart two-year-old stable.

No4 LINE UP GIRLS Won a trial at Canterbury in Sydney and then never a hope when last at Randwick at first start. This is far easier.

R3 - 1.48pm. Minibody Engineering Class 2 Handicap - 900m.

No3 CASH ‘N’ RUN Showed a lot of pace to win at Toowoomba last start and a repeat would see him hard to beat here.

No4 DESIRABLE MISS (BEST ROUGHJIE) Handy run fresh when third at Ipswich behind two promising horses. Will be good odds here but will be running home strongly at shorter trip.

No1 SHARPAMAL Resuming here without a trial. Is a first-up winner and does have a lot of early pace. The weight the only worry.

No2 BAGGIO Trialled well and then went far too hard in the lead when stopped to run near last first-up. Better placed here.

R4 - 2.28pm. Komatsu Maiden Handicap - 1200m.

No11 SNOW SPARKLE Stable just continues to produce winners for Segenhoe Stud who races her. Good effort last-start third at Ipswich and chance here.

No12 ALPHA CENTAURI First starter who ran last in a recent Doomben trial. But reportedly a bit better than that. Will be big odds.

No1 CHASIN Ran a nice trial before first-up fourth this track. No reason why can't improve a few places here.

No7 LYRICAL PRINCE At first start wasn't a bad fifth in a maiden at Ballina. Stable can improve their horses quickly and respect here in a weak event.

R5 - 3.08pm. QGR ACCOUNTANTS Fillies and Mares Class 1 Handicap - 1200m.

No1 I REMEMBER YOU Good run last start when second this track over 1100m. Better off this distance and ready to win. Some rain wouldn't hurt.

No3 FRIENDS Strong second this track behind a smart horse last start gives her a good chance here.

No9 HIMALAYAN SALT Has plenty of pace and a light weight which means she should be in the leading group for a long way.

No2 ON A HIGH Racing very well with Ballina win and then third this track back in August. No official trial but has been placed twice fresh.

R6 - 3.48pm. PACIFIC PETROLEUM Colts, Geldings and Entires Class 1 Handicap - 1200m.

No7 SMART AS ATTACK At only race start showed he had high potential with a good win this track. A repeat of that run will see him win this.

No6 GRINCH Was good odds but showed a lot of fight to win only start on this track two weeks ago. Had three solid trials before that.

No1 FANX Good Ipswich maiden winner last start and while this is tougher has an each-way claim.

No8 CAPO DI TUTTI Won a Doomben trial last month and then in the wrong part of the track when fourth this course last start. Can do better here.

R7 - 4.28pm. Bank of Queensland Capalaba Class 5 Handicap - 1400m.

No4 FIRST CRUSH (NEXT BEST BET) Trialled twice before excellent first-up second at the Sunshine Coast. Was entered for a stakes race today but running here. Should be very hard to beat now.

No2 DESMON’S PRIDE Has been our special his past two runs and won both times this track. Obviously hard to beat again but will be no value and meeting a tougher field here.

No1 RHYME NOR RYTHM Good winner here two starts back and then didn't handle the sand track when fifth in the Roma Cup. Gets in well with a 3kgs claim here.

No8 LEGAL COUNSEL Recent form this track very good with a win and two minor placings. Always an each-way chance this course.

R8 - 5.04pm. Coastal Tipper Hire Class 4 Handicap - 1200m.

No1 PRIORITISE (BEST BET) There is a huge wrap on this horse and he had no luck at all when first-up third at the Sunshine Coast. Reportedly working very well and looks the one to beat.

No3 DON'T DENY US Has won this track and resuming here with two trials under his belt. Has to be one of the main chances.

No2 TROIS CHOIX Strong win at the Sunshine Coast last start. This harder but still among the main chances.

No10 SPIRIT OF HUSSON Handy Lismore winner two starts back and then third this track when didn't have much luck. Will be on the pace for a long way.
