The stable of Lloyd Kennewell is running red hot with a Group 1 under their belt after last Saturday’s victory by Viddora in the Winterbottom Stakes at Ascot.
Kennewell and Group 1 winning jockey Joe Bowditch team up today for an eight-race card at Morphettville. Punters can build a bank early with Hussybay and Tiger Tim and then keep on going on throughout the day. Some short-priced favourites but they do look to have the goods.
The false rail will be at three metres and the weather should be overcast with the track rated as a Good 4.

No2 GHODELEINE looks the strongest of the Adelaide brigade in what is a small field to kick off proceedings. Went one better at her second start to post an imposing win over 1400m maiden at Murray Bridge on November 14. Makes a compelling case.
No1 ELRAAZY is a Victorian invader on the hunt for a third straight win. From the top stable of Team Hayes and smashed his rivals over 1618m at Echuca on November 7 with a one length win as a $3.30 favourite. Big danger.
No5 PLOVER LOVER is from the top Adelaide stable of Tony McEvoy and will be in the mix on her last start third over 1400m here on November 25. The in-form Todd Pannell is the new rider and has drawn on the rail.
No4 DEPLORABLE broke her maiden status at Strathalbyn four starts ago. Latest she ran pulled up with lacerations to her fetlocks when finishing a close fourth over 1400m here on November 25. Pay to forgive the run and start again.

R2 – 1.46pm. Barristers Block Premium Wines Two-Year-Old Plate – 1050m.
No2 MUTADAAWEL is from the top two-year-old stable of Team Hayes and would pay due respect as coming here from their Victorian yard not for a picnic. The Denman colt will sport a lugging bit and gets ace jockey Jason Holder.
No3 TADWEEN is the stablemate to Mutadaawel and is making his debut. He too has no trial form but the Hayes camp is well established to educate youngsters. Top Adelaide hoop Dom Toneur gets the ride today and respect.
No4 TEXAS JACK is from Adelaide’s leading stable of Tony McEvoy and on sole outing in a trial showed potential with a third over 800m at Morphettville on November 23. Will wear a lugging bit and a tongue-tie at debut.
No7 BURN OFF (BEST ROUGHIE) has the wood over his opponents having had a race start. That is advantageous and he can improve on his fourth over 1500m here on November 18. Gets Group 1 winning jockey Joe Bowditch to ride too.

R3 – 2.21pm. O’Leary Walker Wines Handicap – 1600m.
No2 HUSSYBAY (BEST BET) is in red hot form with a blistering strike rate of four straight wins at this track. Latest he struck late to nail the leader on the line in a great finish over 1800m here on November 18. He was ridden by Chris Caserta that day and gets 3kg claimer today to reduce his impost down to 54kg. Likes to race on the speed so will be right in the firing line and can make it five straight.
No4 MILES OF KRISHAN has been brought across to Adelaide to find easier company and respect.
No6 TENERE drops a massive 4.5kg and gets ace rider Dom Toneur replacing and apprentice.
No3 KIRONA was racing home strongly and cleaned up his rivals easily here last time. Good chance.

R4 – 3.01pm. The Lane Vineyard Handicap – 2500m.
No4 TIGER TIM (NEXT BEST BET) is a Victorian raider who looks hard to beat on his second over 2300m at Ballarat on November 25. Top Adelaide hoop Dom Tourneur is booked to ride on 54.4kg. That is a massive drop of 3kg on the weight he carried last start. He won over 2000m three starts ago and looks a good bet today. Will be tight in the betting as done expect more than even money.
No1 TUNES was given a freshen up after running a close second over 2500m here on November 18. Gets a slight gear change with cheekers going on and with the 2kg claim will carry a more comfortable 57kg today.
No5 FLYING CASINO could have excused behind unfamiliar run when seventh over 2250m here on December 2. He is on the quick back up and has been vet checked. Was placed at three of prior four starts.
No7 TRENDSETTER gets a big drop of 3.5kg down to the limit on 54kg today. That is a help and can improve on his last start close fourth over 2100m at Gawler on November 29. He is well travelled and not out of this.

R5 – 3.41pm. Sidewood Estate Handicap – 1050m.
No1 FANCY RUMBLE is a smart three-year-old filly who showed her class with a convincing win over 1050m here on November 18. She jumps 1.5kg in weight up to 59kg here but Raquel Clark’s claim negates that reducing her carrying weight to 57kg.
No8 GOLDEN LUSTRE hails from the top Adelaide stable of Phillip Stokes and has ace rider Dom Tourneur to ride. She was outgunned by Nature Strip last start but fought on well to run second over 1000m at Moonee Valley on November 17.
No3 WALLACE STREET showed rivals a clean pair of plates when careered home to a 3.3 length win over 1000m here on August 5. That was his sole start and he has been warmed up for this with a trial over 1000m here November 23. He won it easily.
No7 IRON LOTUS had been impressive on country tracks notching a hat-trick before last-start seventh over 1050m here on November 18. Had excuses that day and would forgive the run as an aberration.

R6 – 4.21pm. Top Note Vineyard Handicap – 1600m.
No1 ACT OF VALOUR has been give three weeks rest from racing and has the winkers going back on for his return. He won over 1300m here five starts ago and last start had no luck when finishing eighth over 1200m at Moonee Valley on November 17.
No7 ALL BAR TWO has finished - winning twice – at all past five starts. Latest he ran a good third over 1400m in a similar race here on November 25. He gets ace jockey Joe Bowditch replacing a 3kg apprentice today.
No8 COSMIC CHARM has been inside the money at past four starts. Looks a good chance here on last start second over 1600m here on November 18. She again has no weight on 54.5kg and Dom Tourneur sticks to her.
No3 SPY DECODER copped a big bump at the 100m and had the wind knocked out of sails when running fourth over 1400m here last Saturday. He is on the quick back up but has drawn gate six and with 3kg claim carries 56.5kg.

R7 – 5.01pm. City Of Marion Stakes – 1200m.
No5 DESERT LASHES is a track specialist here with three wins and two seconds at five starts. Latest she ran a close second over 1200m here on November 18 when carrying 55.5kg. She gets weight relief here down to 54kg. Great chance.
No8 FOX HALL has been racing in rural Victoria and here and been most consistent. Latest he ran a good third in a Group 3 over 1400m at Flemington on November 9. Drops in class today and has no weight on the limit on 54kg.
No1 CASINO WIZARD was involved in a three-way photo when running third over 1300m in a Group 3 at Sandown on November 18. Was at luxury odds of $18 that day but no such luck here at $6, but is still each-way value.
No2 LORD ASPEN returns home after an unsuccessful foray at Flemington where he ran a close seventh over 1400m on November 11. He was the $4.20 favourite that day and gave a good account, but does go to 59.5kg here.

R8 –5.38pm. Adelaide Hills Wine Region Handicap (Heat of Star of Christmas Series) – 1200m.
No7 GOGO GRACE must rate highly on recent form with a strong second over 1250m here on November 25. The four-year-old mare gets Raquel Clark’s 2kg claim to reduce her weight to a mere 54kg here. Drawn to win in gate four.
No9 VIVALDI’S QUEST has been freshened up since last-start second over 1200m here on November 18. Carried 55.5kg that day with Joe Bowditch on top and goes up to 56kg today and Bowditch keeps on board.
No2 INFINITY QUEEN gets the 2kg claim of Dylan Caboche to reduce the impost down to 55kg. Has been racing steadily with a last-start second over 1400m against her own sex on November 18. She does not strike a tough field here.
No4 TRUPT is a six-year-old mare who broke through with a smart win over 1250m here on November 25. That was a good effort under 57.5kg and drops a half-kilo here to 57kg and gets Todd Pannell as her new partner. Keep safe.
