Racing returns to Moonee Valley tonight for the summer night series after having a week off last Friday.
It looks to be an entertaining card of eight races with three races programed for the fairer sex.
Winners do look to stand out so punters can cash up tonight for another big weekend of racing in Australia. The false rail is pushed out to the six-metre position and the track is currently rated as a Good 4. (Wednesday). There is rain forecast so let’s see what eventuates as we are in summer now.

No7 SIA drops down in class on last start 12th in a listed race over 1400m at Sandown on November 18. Her previous form at Geeiong was solid with subsequent placings and she gets ace jockey Craig Williams to ride at her debut at the Valley. Pay to give another chance on her prior form.
No6 LADY SEABRING scored a good win on the Geelong synthetic at her debut over 1300m last June. She was resuming when finishing a solid seventh over 1200m at Mornington on December 8. She is on the quick back up but with Stephanie Thornton’s claim carries only 53kg tonight.
No1 VUNGERS won his maiden at Bendigo last campaign in May. He has been a model of consistency at his two starts this preparation with subsequent placings. Latest he ran second on the synthetic over 1300m at Geelong on December 3. He gets his chance to breakthrough in a moderate field.

No9 PAMELA JOY faces many newcomers in this maiden and she does have the score on the board with four placings at four starts. Latest she ran a close third over 1000m maiden at Terang on December 4. She has race fitness on her side and has drawn barrier six.
No1 ANOTHER FLAG faded a shade but showed good speed to lead before finishing a .75 length second over 1200m at Geelong on the synthetic on December 3. The meeting was transferred to the synthetic because of heavy rains. Can break his placing streak here tonight by using his pace from gate 11.
No2 BLUEBROOK ran a good fifth at his sole start at this track three starts ago. Latest he ran on steadily to finish fourth over 1400m maiden at Warrnambool on November 30. He strikes a field of newcomers tonight and has race experience under his belt. Has room for improvement.
No8 NICCI BY NAME showed pace at her sole trial to finish a good second over 800m at Cranbourne on November 27. The daughter of Nicconi was never put under any pressure and she has ample time to improve further. She had drawn nicely in gate seven at her debut tonight.

No7 EMAAN was narrowly beaten when finishing third over 1200m here against her own sex on December 1. She was an easing $3.40 favourite that night and she did chase hard along the rail to go down by .5 length. She was an effortless winner at Geelong at her prior start.
No3 MAGNESIUM ROSE the barrier in 10 is a setback but her form has been first class at her two starts. She won her maiden over 1000m at Bairnsdale before coming here and finishing a strong second over 1000m against 3yo fillies on December 1. She faces her own age and sex again tonight.
No5 TWITCHY FRANK strange name for a filly but it did not handicap her winning comfortably over 975m in a maiden at Swan Hill on November 26. She was backed into a $2.70 favourite that day and got the chocolates by 2.25 lengths. She is raised in class but have to consider on her faultless debut.
No2 DOVES CRY was held tight in the market at $4.80 before finishing on strongly to open her winning account at her debut over 1200m in a maiden at Ballarat on November 28. She strikes her own age and sex tonight and from barrier four should get a nice run in transit. Keep very safe.

No10 SILENT GENERAL has been in blistering form winning at his past two starts at Echuca and Sandown. Latest he strode to a .4 length win over 1400m at Sandown on December 2. The Darren Weir-trained gelding gets stable jockey John Allen to ride again and he drops a kilo to 56.5kg for this assault.
No7 TENAPPY LADIES with Stephenie Thornton’s 3kg claim will carry only 55.5kg. He was a strong winner at Cranbourne two starts ago, before finishing a close fourth over 1300m at Bendigo on December 6. He is on the quick back up but is from an astute stable and is drawn perfectly in gate four.
No9 SHAUQUIN has won twice and been placed three times at his seven starts. Last start he ran a close third over 1500m at Sandown on November 29. The 2kg claim of the apprentice drops his weight down to 55.5kg tonight. He notched a smart win at Seymour two starts ago over 1300m.
No11 SO SPLENDID is a Sydney winner and comes here from a steady seventh over 1800m at Sandown as a $3 favourite on November 29. Her prior form at Flemington and Warwick Farm was first class and she gets leading Victorian rider Michael Dee to ride tonight at her Valley debut.

No1 BELWAZI (BEST BET) has been on a red-hot winning streak with four wins from her five starts. She made a big splash at her debut here when romping home to a 1.8 length win over 955m on December 1. With the in form apprentice Stephanie Thornton’s 3kg claim her impost is reduced to a more comfortable 57.5kg, which is 2.5kg more than she carried last time. The race is only over 955m so the extra weight won’t worry.
No2 EL SICARIO usually gives a strong performance when racing fresh and is first-up from a 24-week spell.
No4 CERTAIN ELLIE ran a fair race first-up here and will take a heap of benefit from the outing.
No13 BONNEY has genuine early speed and the 3kg claim drops the weight down to a mere 52kg.

No7 JUSTSIMMER (NEXT BEST BET) had a wow factor when steaming home to a 5 length win at her debut over 1121m in a maiden at Geelong on November 19. That was on a rain affected track and she gets Chris Caserta riding again. Caserta’s 3kg claim is a bonus here, dropping her weight down to 56.5kg.The barrier draw in 15 is a negative, but her debut win was impressive and she hails from a very astute stable. Looks to be winning this race.
No12 PIRAPALA won nicely at Tatura three starts ago and struck a bog when failed at Ballarat last start.
No4 SCAPPARE was doing her best work at the finish over 1000m at Sandown last start. Keep safe.
No1 SALLYBROOK should be racing on the pace and looms as a contender for the finish.

No11 WHISTLER BOWL has a very strong form line with two wins coming out of the race he won last start at Sandown. He showed his opposition contempt to stride to a 2.75 length win over 1800m maiden on November 29. Ryan Maloney keeps the ride and he has a superior draw in gate five.
No10 LAST WEEK ran a good second to Savvy Belle over 1600m here on December 1. That was disappointing for favourite backers who took the $1.95 quote. The European import is bound to have improved on the run and will have the Darren Weir polish for his clash tonight.
No1 KNOWABLE gets in with a lighter weight thanks to the 3kg claim of apprentice Stephanie Thornton, carrying 58kg. Finished second three times in a row at Flemington and Bendigo before last start 11th in the Ballarat Cup (2200m) on November 25. Down in class tonight.
No9 MY NIKITA (BEST ROUGHIE) has been freshened up with a five-week break following her disappointing 12th over 1700m at Flemington on November 9. She is a former New Zealand galloper who won at her last start at home over 2000m in a Listed race. Ethan Brown’s 2kg claim drops her weight to 55kg tonight.

No2 ROSEBERRY STREET is on a winning streak at this track with two smart victories at her past two starts. She beat the favourite Last Week over 1600m here on December 1 carrying 56.5kg with the claim. She will carry 58kg tonight with Stephanie Thornton again riding. Good chance.
No9 WINKELMANN was battling on well enough to finish fifth over 1800m at Sandown against her own sex on November 29. She gets top jockey Damian Lane to ride tonight on 57.5kg, which is a half-kilo less than she carried last start. She looks well placed in this field to show.
No12 PRIA ECLIPSE has finished inside the money at three of her past five starts. Latest she ran a strong fourth over 1800m at Sandown against her own sex on November 29. That was solid and she gets a 3kg claim to reduce her weight to a mere 52kg. Looks to be a novelty chance.
