If you have finished the busiest day of racing with coin still in your pocket you have Cranbourne to go to tonight. The first race kicks off at 6.35, about 40 minutes after the last race at Caulfield.

Night racing is full now in Victoria with up to three nights each week, plus Happy Valley from Hong Kong each Wednesday night televised nationally. So if you are still afloat and hungry for a bet, go to Cranbourne. The track is rated as a Good 4 and the weather should be fine. The false rail is pushed out to nine metres.

No3 SUPERIOR ROSE struck a quagmire and looked like she did handle the bog when finishing 14th over 1600m against her own sex at Mornington back in early June. She has a good first-up record and would respect.

No5 MIANINA from the top stable of Team Hayes and expect a bold showing fresh. She only raced once and finished eighth in a 900m maiden at Bendigo back on February 18. She has had plenty of time to mature now.

R2 – 7.05pm. TAB Multiplier Maiden Plate – 1400m.

No5 MY LITTLE OLIVER (NEXT BEST BET) looks to have his hoof right on the till with two good second at his past two starts in the country. R3 – 7.45pm. Frenken Homes Maiden Plate – 1000m.

No9 TAGREEDA (BEST BET) hails from the top stable of Mick Price and comes here with a strong win as a $3.10 hot shot over 1400m maiden at Wodonga at last start back on September 11. No5 VAIN TYCOON Team Hayes has brought a strong line up of gallopers to this lowly meeting and this galloper was a smart winner two starts ago at Ararat over 1300m. Last start he ran a good sixth over 1300m at Sandown on November 29.

No4 TUSCAN RED (BEST ROUGHIE) has been well schooled at the trial scene in preparation for his comeback from a 42-week spell. Latest he romped home by 3.5 lengths over 1190m in a heat here on November 27. Looks to be primed.
