Betting tips for every race at Kembla. Today’s best bet is in race 5

Thu, 14 Dec, 9:52 AM

Kembla for provincial racing here in the Sydney region this Saturday. Small fields are the calling card today, with races last night, today and tomorrow. Still there are winners to be found. Rail in the true position and track will be good.

QUADDIES (races 4-5-6-7)

Skinny Play:  1,4  -  4  -  4,5,9  -  2,6,9

Wide Play: 1,4,5,9  -  2,4  -  1,4,5,9  - 1,2,6,9

Next Best Bet: R2 – 2. SPELLOLOGY

Best Roughie: R3 – 3. PERUN

R1 – 1.39pm. Christmas Racing At Kembla Grange 2yo Maiden Handicap - 1000m.

No4 QUACKERJACK comes out of the best 2yo races of this season in the Breeders Plate, where he was ok enough. The trials coming in have been quite good and with the blinkers on he should run well.

No3 LASER has been trialing up quite well coming into the debut run and looks to be well educated and should run well.

No9 STRATUM’S ROSE was well backed on debut at Canberra and had no luck there. She looks to have ability.

No6 DREAMING OF BISCAY has been trialing up well enough coming into the debut. Not at all sure what is behind him in the trials but happy to see him.

R2 – 2.14pm. Santa Claus Class 2 Handicap - 1400m.

No2 SPELLOLOGY (NEXT BEST BET) has been fantastic in the two wins from the two starts thus far. I am not sure at what he has been beating, but he has been looking ultra-impressive in both wins. He gets a soft run of it from the gate here, and given how he won last week I see only upside here.

No4 VARUSKA was good enough first-up in a race which should hold up well enough, second-up he should improve.

No1 GRAVITATE has been going well enough as of late, and gets a good run of it from the barrier here.

No6 JARRETT won the maiden quite well last start, drop back in distance a touch of a concern.

R3 – 2.49pm. Reindeer Maiden Plate - 1500m.

No3 PERUN (BEST ROUGHIE) comes out of some good races and I always thought he would become a nice horse in time. First-up 1500m suits.

No1 ALMIGHTY CROWN will appreciate the big open track here, he brings good form to this and should run well.

No5 BIRDSONG has a very short SP profile, but doesn’t want to win by the looks of it. I have to have her in as she will run a hole.

No6 CLASSIC THOUGHTS has been going ok enough as of late. The claim for Heywood suits here.

R4 – 3.24pm. Trevor Brew Appreciation Maiden Handicap - 1300m.

No1 AUERBACH comes out of some good races and pulled up with an issue last time, the trial since was good.

No4 DEVIL’S LUCK has been trialing in good order coming into this and should be respected on debut, despite the gate.

No9 ISLE OF CAPRI comes out of some good races last time in and has been trialing up in good order and should run well.

No5 SEKIYAMA gets a soft run of it from barrier 1, and comes out of some solid enough races.

R5 – 4.04pm. South Coast Party Hire Benchmark 67 Handicap - 1200m.

No4 SMARTEDGE (BEST BET) not at all paying attention to what he has done at the trials as he went through his motions well and the good Snowden horses don’t do much in trials. The form he brings however is fantastic. He looks to be well placed here for a kill and is off to better things.

No2 WEEKEND AFFAIR won well before the end of the last preparation and has been trialing well coming in.

No6 ABERRATION has quite a good record built up thus far and has been trialing well coming in.

No8 DELUXE ROCKER won well first-up from a spell, he looks the likely leader here and will give them something to catch.

R6 – 4.44pm. Jingle Bells Class 1 Handicap - 1400m.

No4 QUEEN OF HEIGHTS resumes here and brings a solid enough record to this, her fresh record is quite good.

No9 PYMBLE ran right through the line in both runs this time in, the step to 1400m isn’t an issue.

No5 AMANITO was a good winner on debut in what should be a good race. 1400m second start shouldn’t be an issue.

No1 PROMETHEUS resumes here and is yet to live up to the ability that he has, he has trialled well coming in.

R7 – 5.24pm. Merry Christmas From Kembla Grange Handicap - 2000m.

No2 BOLORD has been building well towards a win this time in, he finally gets out to 2000m which looks to suit.

No6 STRADAZZLE won well last start at Hawkesbury. He gets a soft run of it from gate 1 and the claim for Nutman suits.

No9 FIRST COURRIER comes out of that same race as Stradazzle last start and should run well here.

No1 RED VIKING drops well in grade here, the run two starts back at Hawkesbury would go close to winning this.
