No5 EMBECEE LIL has been a model of consistency at this track. Comes into this race with a clever win over 1400m here on December 2. Was backed into a hot $2,25 favourite that day and is sure to play a key role here.
No6 ELZETTE was having her second start back from a spell when finishing third over 1200m at Mt Gambier on December 4. Emily Finnegan’s 1.5kg allowance drops her weight to a mere 54kg and is well drawn.

No3 PRETTY PUNK showed improvement at her second start back from a spell with a strong third over 1400m here on December 2. She gets senior rider Clare Lindop to ride instead of an apprentice today and is drawn perfectly in six.
No4 PENNY FOR A POUND won the Clare Cup (1600m) is good fashion by over 2 lengths and now comes to the city. She also boasts a good record at this track with two wins and two placings at her nine starts. Has no weight on 51kg.
No7 ANGELUCCI (BEST ROUGHIE) showed too much speed for her rivals when pulling away to a clever win over 1700m at Gawler on November 29. She gets top jockey Joe Bowditch replacing an apprentice for her assignment today.

No4 NIKITAS is another from a powerhouse arsenal from Darren Weir to raid today. Gave a good effort to seventh over 1300m at Sandown on December 2. That day it was a bog and prefers to have a dry track. Gets that here.
No3 HAVE ANOTHER GLASS may pay to forgive first-up effort when finishing sixth over 1250m here on December 2. Was backed into $4 and disappointed. Drops 2kg to the limit on 54kg and that should help.
No5 FEDERAL COURT has won twice at this track this campaign. Latest ran sixth over 1400m here on December 2. That was a shade disappointing as didn’t finish as thought. The addition of Joe Bowditch may lift.

No1 BAY ROAD has won all of his past three starts. He was in striking form when digging deep to pip Cashed over 1000m here on November 25. Has been freshened up for this race and will carry 59.5kg with the 3kg claim.
No5 PLATEAU GOLD has been freshened since his last-start third over the 955m scamper at Moonee Valley on November 17. With the 3kg claim will carry no weight on 52kg and likes to race right on the speed.
No7 INVISIBLE GIRL has won at two of her past four starts. Expect her to be in the frame on her last start third over 1000m here on November 25. Joe Bowdicth replaces an apprentice and she will be on the limit on 54kg.

No6 CALL ME HANDSOME (BEST BET) is a lightly-race galloper with plenty of room for improvement and so far has been so good. He went to Sandown where he ran a terrific third over 1000m on November 29. He won at his debut at Shatin and ran third at the same track before being sent home. The five-year-old gets top Victorian jockey Dean Yendall to ride here in Adelaide and will take beating.
No8 IT’S BEEN A BATTLE won a trial over 1000m in good fashion and expect to go well fresh.
No2 NODOUBTABOUTIT was in strong form with three wins before being given a light break.
No1 MYSTIFIED was costly to favourite backers last time here. Can redeem himself.

No2 SHOW BENDER (NEXT BEST BET) showed plenty of courage to post consecutive wins before finishing seventh over 1400m here on December 2. She was not suited by the pace of the day and could not fire up. With the 3kg claim she will drop down to 56kg in weight. She carried 55kg and 59kg at her past two wins so that looks comfortable for her. The stable won a Group 1 this month and is hot.
No4 LIGHT ‘N’ FIRE is another of the Darren Weir arsenal attacking Morphettville today. Comes to town with a good win at Bendigo.
No13 ENKI should get a tidy run behind the speed and be finishing on their hammer.
No9 INFINITY QUEEN was plunged last start and narrowly missed the major prize. Can redeem.

No2 CALL ME CURTIS has the speed to combat the wide alley in 14. He is a natural leader and with the 3kg claim will have his weight dropped to a more comfortable 58kg. Was freshened since his fourth over 1250m here on November 25.
No12 BAKER’S DOZEN showed he was ready for a first-up assault with a good third over 1000m in a trial here on December 7. He has a great record fresh of a win and two placings from four starts. Barrier five is a bonus.
No11 JUST A BIGGER DASH was given a soft outing when taken to Clare and got the biscuits with an easy 2.5 length win over 1100m on November 26. Raquel Clark’s 2kg claim reduces his impost down to a comfortable 57kg.
No1 MORDACIOUS has proven to be as reliable as clockwork and with the 3kg claim has his impost reduced to a more comfortable 58.5kg. He fought hard to stave off defeat over 1100m at Mortlake at his last start on November 4. He is fresh.
