Wagga (Friday) Betting Preview & Tips
Betting tips for every race at Wagga. Today’s best bet is in race 4.
BEST BET: Race 4 No 1 TOUGHERTHANTHEREST
Has to lump 61.kgs but seems good enough to do so here. Ran around in a Benchmark 67 last start with 58kgs on his back and finished third. Drops back in class here and over the same distance as last start (1200 metres), should be in the firing line again.
QUADDIE PICKS (races 5-6-7-8):
2,5,9,14 – 2,3,5,6 – 2,3,5,7 – 2,4,5,12
No1 I’M ROCKIN Is first-up after a little freshen up and is dropping back in grade. Has won fresh twice previously and gets the two kilo claim for Patrick Scorse.
No3 STEEL TRIGGER
No4 DAISY DOUTES
No3 HOT TICKETS Going for a bit of value in this race. The gelding will appreciate the extra distance here and is a genuine backmarker so look for him to be storming home late. The booking of Jeff Penza is a big plus.
No7 COLD FACT
No6 FOX BEAT
No 4 MISTER STEADFAST
No1 HALBERD Has been knocking on the door of late and looks to be in the fight again here. Will get the two kilo claim for Patty Scorse and this race looks easier than his last start fifth at Goulburn behind a few talented types.
No 8 CHEW TOY
No 9 REAL BONAFIDE
No1 TOUGHERTHANTHEREST (BEST BET) Has to lump 61.kgs but seems good enough to do so here. Ran around in a Benchmark 67 last start with 58kgs on his back and finished third. Drops back in class here and over the same distance as last start (1200 metres), should be in the firing line again.
No6 WHERE’S SNIPPY
No7 CITY BOOTS
No9 REDWOOD CITY Has been in the market at her past five runs but hasn’t broken through as yet. Gets a 3kg weight relief off her fifth at Mornington last start where she did it tough but still battled on to finish fifth.
No5 TRYING Looked good last start over this course and distance when a fast-finishing third to Little Red Devil. The appointment of Mathew Cahill is a big tick as is the 4kgs less that he has to lug around.
No6 FISH BONES FRY
No2 SUPPLY MONEY
No3 OVERDUE This six-year-old has to carry a big weight but he does have the class to overcome that. Two starts back he won with a massive weight over this distance. Go back last start at Rosehill in the Country Classic and it was hard to ignore his late closing effort for fourth behind Miss Dubois.
No2 MERCURIAL LAD
No5 CHA CHA KING
No7 ROSE’S SONG
No4 CENTRAL PASS Resumes off a break and is first-up since late June. Has two wins and five placings to her credit and armed up for this with a five-length trial win at Tatura.
No12 WHERE’S PIPPA
No2 O’ SO HAZY
No5 INCH PERFECT
