Gold Coast (Saturday) Betting Preview & Tips
Betting tips for every race at Gold Coast. Today’s best bet is in race 2.
The Gold Coast is back to Saturday metropolitan racing with a big nine-race card. As is the case with most of southern Queensland there has been a lot of storm activity at the track. It means the going should be soft. But a word of warning if the wind gets up this track dries very quickly so you will have to monitor the weather throughout the day.

No11 CRUSHER (NEXT BEST BET) Won first two starts like a good horse and there were excuses when beaten favourite last start. Promising and if you forgive last start looks to be very well placed here.
No4 KNOTTED Chased home a very smart horse when second this track at first start this area. Has strong New South Wales form and has been placed in soft going.
*SCRATCHED* No2 CAPTAIN PARKER Has been very consistent of late and won the Sunshine Coast before a spell. Third that track first-up and loves wet tracks.
No1 MINI MELD Above average mare who hasn't run since February and hasn't trialled. But likes this track and while no wet track form should handle it on breeding.
VALUE RUNNER: No2 CAPTAIN PARKER

No2 SUNLIGHT (BEST BET) She is third favourite for the Magic Millions Classic next week on the strength of a brilliant win this track last start. Top class filly and she should win this.
No4 PAQUIRRI Two runs to date have been minor placings behind some smart horses. Has winkers and should be ready to run a big race here.
No5 BOOM GIRL Yet another smart horse by in-form sire Spirit of Boom and good third at her only start at this track two weeks ago. Rates highly.
*SCRATCHED* No1 KING OF THE NORTH Has a win and two thirds in three race starts. Has a lot of pace and is still green but could be the surprise horse here.
VALUE RUNNER: No1 KING OF THE NORTH
R3 - 1.37pm. SPILL THE BEANS 1ST WEANLINGS AT THE SALES IN 2018 QTIS 3-Y-O Handicap - 1800m.
No3 BOOM BOOM EPIC Got a rails run to win this track and distance last start. Promising filly who has gone up sharply in weights but still hard to beat.
No1 ALL TOO HUIYING Brave second when attacked in the lead this track and distance last start. That was first run since winning at Flemington during the spring carnival. Going very well.
No5 THE PINKERTON (BEST ROUGHIE) Has always shown promise as a stayer and very good run first-up when second at Doomben in an easier race. This suits very well.
No6 LOOKS LIKE ELVIS Came from a mile back after missing the start when second at Doomben over 1600m last start. Stepping up to a suitable distance now.
VALUE RUNNER: No5 THE PINKERTON
R4 - 2.12pm. AQUIS FARM RACEHORSE RETIREMENT PROGRAM Benchmark 80 Handicap - 2200m.
No10 EXPERTEA Led all of the way to win at Doomben last start over 1500m. Stepping up quickly in distance but down in weights and has won at 2190m. Could lead all the way here.
No5 ENDLESS DAYS His chance depends on the weather as he is very good on wet tracks. Looking for this distance and had a recent trial to stay on line for this.
No1 RULING DYNASTY Former Victorian galloper whose two runs this area have been solid. Good fourth this track over 1800m last start and better suited this track.
No3 THE RUMOUR FILE Doomben winner three starts back and the second at his next two starts. Good chance here provided the track isn't too wet.
VALUE RUNNER: No5 ENDLESS DAYS

*SCRATCHED* No4 CRUZE Promising horse who won his past start at Doomben in strong fashion. Ran out of time to get enough prizemoney to run in some big races but he is smart.
No3 COLOSIMO Has not run a bad race in her past five starts. Very good run when fourth behind a smart horse at Doomben last start. Has won this track.
No5 DREAM KISSES Had no luck at all when deep the whole way in a four horse race and ran second on bog tracks at Ipswich last time. Should have finished lot closer last time and handles the wet.
*SCRATCHED* No9 BELLA OCCHI Well bred filly who has won her only three starts. Has won on a bog track at her last start. This is her big test but should be hard to hold out.
VALUE RUNNER: No5 DREAM KISSES

No2 DESMON'S PRIDE won three in a row at the Gold Coast and then no luck when fourth in a far tougher race at the Gold Coast last start. Can win this.
No7 ANNE BONNY Tough New South Wales country galloper who has raced well in top company there. Trialled well before first-up fifth at Lismore and will be fitter now.
No3 DELIGHTFUL FEELING Nice run when fifth behind an in form horse last start at Doomben and has since trialled solidly. A definite each-way hope here.
No9 DRUMBEAT’S CHOICE Was racing without luck until last start when second at the Sunshine Coast. Has a 2kgs claim here which helps.

No2 FELTRE Very good wet track horse who bolted in this track over 1800m at his last start. Getting ready for next week's Magic Millions Trophy.
No6 SLYDINI Very good wet track horse who has been racing well on all surfaces of late. Hasn't been out of a place his past five starts.
No8 AQUA VITE Most consistent horse who won at Doomben two runs back before third this track and distance last time. Likes wet tracks and the Gold Coast.
VALUE RUNNER: No6 SLYDINI
R8 - 4.50pm. AQUIS FARM PRE-TRAINING AND AGISTMENT OPEN Handicap - 1200m.
No1 SIEGFRIED The class runner of the field but raced in Group company first-up when not disgraced in finishing seventh. Has handy soft track form.
No3 FLAMBOYER Beat a stakes winner easily in a recent trial. Has won nearly $600,000 in prize money and usually races fresh. But really big chance if the track very wet.
No5 ZUMBELINA Ordinary effort at first start this area in a stakes race. But has raced well in Sydney in these type of races and that gives her a chance here.
No7 BANDA SPICE Two runs from a spell have been in easier races but she has been solid. Looks the value runner here.

No4 PATRONIZING Scratched Wednesday to run here and has been consistent of late in easier races including last-start second at Doomben. Handles the wet.
