Thu, 11 Jan, 11:42 AM

Kembla Grange for our Saturday meeting in provincial NSW to back up Randwick today, we have had some rain around in recent days in the lead up. The radar doesn’t look too bad though. We should be on soft going at worst come Saturday, rail out 3m.

QUADDIES (races 4-5-6-7)

Skinny Play:  3,6  -  1  -  2,9,12  -  11

Wide Play:  3,6,10   -  1,3,7  -  2,9,12,13  -  6,10,11

Next Best Bet: R5 – 1. BASE CAMP

Best Roughie: R3 – 3. MIDNIGHT OBSESSION

R1 – 1.05pm. Duck Creek Dash Maiden Plate - 1000m.

No2 DARK HAZE resumes off a long break here and has been gelded coming into the second prep, I gave him a good chance on debut in what was a strong race, but he didn’t preform well. Put away, gelded and two trials coming in. I want to be with him.

No8 ROTTERDAM has been trialing well coming into the debut run here, she is an exceptionally well bred filly and is owned by Coolmore. 1000m may well be short of her best, but she looks to have some ability.

No7 DEITY is a brilliantly bred filly being out of Divine Madonna by Exceed And Excel and has produced Maternal and La Pieta. The two trials coming in have been quite good and she is drawn to get a good run here.

No6 BEHOLD THE QUEEN is bred and owned by Team Valor who owned and raced the sire Animal Kingdom whose daughter here has been trialing well coming into the debut run, may want further but looks a nice prospect.

R2 – 1.40pm. Berkeley Benchmark 67 Handicap - 1500m.

No2 CHILCOTIN has been going well enough this time in without a win, the step to 1500m here looks suitable.

No4 VICTORY ANTHEM won quite well at Nowra absolutely smashing them, the step up to this grade looks a logical next step.

No1 EXCITED PRINCE drops in grade here and hasn’t been too bad as of late, the form around is quite good.

No5 BACK TO MY BAY won well at Canberra last start and had been in good form prior to that and should do so again.

R3 – 2.15pm. Port Kembla Beach Benchmark 64 Handicap - 2000m.

No3 MIDNIGHT OBSESSION (BEST ROUGHIE) wasn’t too bad in a good race last start, now that he is up to a suitable distance he will run well.

No6 LUCKY LEGEND comes out of the same race as Midnight Obesssion last start, 2000m is a whole new world for him, but it looks suitable.

No8 JUST KEEP GIVING has been good in both runs this time in, there is no reason why she won’t hold her form.

No2 STATELY LORD gets a good claim here, and was a strong winner last start he gets a good run on the map here.

R4 – 2.50pm. Mullett Creek Mile Maiden Plate - 1600m.

No6 APACHE JUNCTION comes out of an ok enough race last start, where the winner placed in Canterbury during the week. 1600m suits.

No3 ROYALTY RISING comes out of the same race last start, and has been going ok enough this time in. 1600m no issue.

No10 KENTUCKY DIVA is an interesting runner here, two trials coming into this, but the mile looks suitable and she is bred to get it.

No9 THE CARTOONIST comes out of some solid form races as of late, despite the SP’s the form is good.

R5 – 3.25pm. Shane Eades Transport Class 1 Handicap - 1400m.

No1 BASE CAMP (NEXT BEST BET) was fantastic with the big weight first-up, and the winner goes around in a highway earlier in the day, so we will know the form. Big jockey change with Hutchings going on board and he gets a good run here.

No3 HIGH TRANQUILITY should improve second-up from a spell and getting up in distance.

No7 MADAME MOUSTACHE has never lived up to her early potential and with the winkers going on she will run well.

No9 PAINTED WALL won in good style last start at Goulburn and ran good time, he will do the same again here.

R6 – 4.05pm. Warrawong Maiden Handicap - 1300m.

No2 AEECEE TIANHU comes out of a good race on debut and has been trialing up in good order coming into this, from the gate he jumps and runs them along.

No9 BEAUTY KANAS has trialled in nice order coming into the debut run, she is a well bred filly who will get further.

No12 PICCATA has been going ok enough at the trials leading in. She gets a good run on the map and should run well.

No13 SHARP TUNE comes out of a good race on debut behind Za Zi Ba, she looks to be a filly of some ability and looks a chance.

R7 – 4.45pm. Dapto Benchmark 65 Handicap - 1300m.

No11 MOSS TRIP (BEST BET) resumes here and gets a good run on the map here for Hutchings, the form around him is quite good and he has been trialing well enough and he looks to be well set up for a kill fresh which is what Snowden's have been doing quite well with these Triple Crown horses as of late.

No10 SEETHING JACKAL found the line well enough last start and has been going quite well, third-up she looks set to peak.

No6 VINNIE POWER has been in quite good form this time in, and just missed last start. Good jockey change with lever getting aboard.

No4 WALSHIE gets a good claim at the weights here and has been going quite well this time in and should run well.
