Kembla Grange (Wednesday) Betting Preview & Tips

Betting tips for every race at Kembla Grange. Today’s best bet is in race 4

Mon, 29 Jan, 10:32 AM

Kembla Grange for our Wednesday meeting in the Sydney region. Low acceptances this week which is quite poor, as we only have 52 acceptances for the eight races on the card. We do have eight winners to find however. The weather in Sydney has been quite good in the leadup as has been for the last few weeks so we will be on a good track and the rail is out 6m.

QUADDIES (races 5-6-7-8)

Skinny Play:  4,5  -  1,5,6  -  1,4,5  -  8,10

Wide Play:  1,4,5  -  1,4,5,6  -  1,3,4,5  -  2,4,8,10

Next Best Bet: R3 – 1. CHAVISH

Best Roughie: R8 – 10. TEMOLIE

R1 – 12.55pm. Kanahooka Class 1 Handicap - 1000m.

No1 RAINOVER MANHATTAN got the job done in good order last start when winning at Muswellbrook. She ran home in quite a slick sectional there for that level of race and can only go on from that, this is a poor race and she is hard to beat.

No3 COZURSMART got the job done in good order when breaking the maiden last start at Cessnock. She did a good job to come off the speed there as not many horses do that at Cessnock. She again sits just behind the speed here and has her chance.

No2 LEWINSKI resumes here and has the only win to her name, when she was fresh a few preparations ago. This is a very weak race and she has trialled up in ok enough fashion to run well here.

No5 SNIPPY SKIPPY has had three runs leading into this at, Tumut, Bong Bong and Tumut. She at least won last start. At her home track some respect given.

R2 – 1.35pm. Berkeley Maiden Plate - 1200m

No4 USURP has been gelded coming into the second preparation and has been trialing in quite good order leading into this. The form that he brings out of this first prep has been quite good as well as a good SP profile. He looks quite hard to beat here.

No1 ARCHEDEMUS needs to be shown a lot of respect on debut here at his home track coming from Gwenda’s yard and having trialled quite well coming into this. He put a gap on them in his last trial when winning by five lengths. Watch the market moves here, they will tell all.

No5 PULANG PULA comes out of a solid enough race coming into the fresh run here. The trials have been quite good and I like how he has had the 1050m trial at his second of two trials coming into the 1200m fresh. He gets a good run on the map here for Glyn and has his chance.

No6 SCRATCHES has been going about her business quietly leading into the debut run as per usual for Waller horses. She is a very well bred filly who will get better as the races get longer, given her mother was placed in a SA Oaks.

R3 – 2.15pm. Unanderra Class 2 Handicap - 1200m

No1 CHAVISH (NEXT BEST BET) looks to be very well placed here by the Snowdens for his resumption here. He brings some very good SP’s to a race of this nature and does need to get that kill to get his confidence up and turn into that Saturday horse that he has always looked like he would become in time. The trial leading in was quite good, he gets a good run on the map here for Hutchings and should get his preparation off to a flyer here.

No3 WALZTING WILLIE comes back to his home track, for only his third run at the track in 36 starts. He didn’t look to handle the quirky Queanbeyan track last start and gets a good run on the map from barrier two.

No2 MASTAR AGAR resumes for the new stable here and hasn’t had the one trial coming into this, sometimes horses spark up in a new environment.

No4 AMMATE looks to be next best here in a race which drops away quite quickly.

R4 – 2.50pm. BLG Business Advisers C,G&E Maiden Handicap - 1400m

No2 SMILING MANOLITO (BEST BET) resumes here and has been gelded leading into his second preparation and comes out of a very good race at his last start behind Kaonic where he started $3.30. You need to respect that SP coming into this, the two trials have been quite good and he looks quite well prepped up for this and to get a win fresh over the 1400m.

No3 SCHOOLMATES has trialled well leading into the debut run here, I never get bothered by Waller’s horses having a fair few trials before the debut run as they like to make sure they are well educated before letting them loose on raceday.

No1 ONLY TIGER has race fitness on his side here and put himself bang on speed fresh when run down late there. He looks the likely leader here and should be hard to beat.

No4 BABY BACK SHAK has been gelded coming into the second prep and has trialled well enough. The blinkers going on show a big sign of intent.

R5 – 3.25pm. Dominic Bradley F&M Maiden Handicap - 1400m

No3 SAINT KATARINA is actually the “Aunt” of Scratches who we will mention in a minute, quite weird that they are both down to debut at the same time. She is a well bred filly who has been trialing up quite well leading into this and should run well here.

No4 SCRATCHES has been going about her business quietly leading into the debut run as per usual for Waller horses. She is a very well bred filly who will get better as the races get longer, given her mother was placed in a SA Oaks.

No1 CASINO ANGEL was good enough on debut, that she brings race fitness to this which is in her advantage. No shock to see Adkins jump and cross them here with that race fitness on her side.

No2 ARNAULT is an extremely well bred filly who has been trialing in typical fashion for the stable coming into this. I expect her to improve with the run, and maybe turn into an oaks filly come April.

R6 – 4.05pm. Jack Primmer & Co PTY LTD Benchmark 60 Handicap - 1400m

No5 GRAND THEFT AUTO drops back to Wednesday level and looks to be much more suited here. She had been in quite good form prior to that with two good runs for the new stable at the first two runs back. I like the Cradle Mountain form line and am happy to follow.

No1 JEXERLENT won well when carrying the big weight last start at Taree, this is a touch stronger than that. But you have to respect the way in which he won there. He gets a good run on the map from gate 3.

No6 THE FOX EFFECT broke the maiden in good fashion last start when racing away from them at Cessnock, this is a step up yes. But you have to give her a hope her given she is relatively unexposed.

No4 RED NOTICE pulled up with some issues last start when fav on the heavy going. That had come after a big win when breaking the maiden. So I am happy to forgive that effort and give him another chance here.

R7 – 4.45pm. RTS Thoroughbreds PTY LTD Benchmark 74 Handicap - 1600m

No4 GREAT JOB has been doing a great job this time in winning the two runs in very good order. The time is right to come to the provincial level and he looks to be very hard to beat here.

No1 MIAMI DADE drops well in grade here after taking on Saturday level at the last two starts. This is much weaker than that. He has a very good record at the track, winning two of the three starts and I have to give him a big chance here.

No5 FLEETING STRYKE comes out of a hot race last start behind Sugar Bella that has rated really well, this is a big drop in grade and she has a very good record at the track that needs to be respected.

No3 ELATUS resumes here and although he will want it to be much further than this he does bring some solid form to this, and has been a winner fresh in the past.

R8 – 5.20pm. Dapto Maiden Plate - 2000m

No10 TEMOLIE (BEST ROUGHIE) has been quite good in both runs this time in, running quite well through the line in both runs. Knowing Sargent she is more than likely on an Oaks path, she gets a good run on the map here and looks hard to beat stepping up to 2000m.

No8 CLASSIC THOUGHTS will enjoy stepping up to the 2000m here and has been quite good in all three runs this time in. the way he ran though the line last start showed that 2000m would be more than suitable here and he is hard to beat.

No4 ROYALTY RISING gets a good run on the map here just behind the speed. He really found the line well last start and the step up to the 2000m looks more than ideal as his best runs have been at the 1600m+ range.

No2 PLEA BARGAIN comes out of the same race as Royalty Rising last start and was quite good there when starting fav in that race, up to the 2000m looks suitable also and he has his chance here.
