Newcastle for our provincial Saturday meeting here in the Sydney region this Saturday. We have 8 races on the card here with small fields throughout the day. With the good weather predicted in the leadup here, the track will be good and the rail is out 5m the entire circuit.

R1 – 2.19pm Prosperity Healthy 2YO Maiden Handicap - 900m.
No3 DREAM CHILD has been trialing up well enough coming into the debut run here, she was good through the line in her latest.
No4 FINAL WAVE gets the blinkers on for debut here and improved a long way last trial, she has her chance.
No5 PIERRLESS is well bred being out of a Group 1 winner, the trials have been ok enough coming in.
No6 SCHILL ROCK YOU was ok enough in the only trial and will run well.

R2 – 2.54pm. Ringal Valley Deli & Café Benchmark 64 Handicap - 1600m.
No2 LETS GET NAUTI GAL looks to be suited here third up after two good runs coming into this, the mile suits.
No4 NO EFFORT NEEDED was good in a much better race than this last start and should run well here.
No7 BULLETSON should be much more suited stepping up to the mile here and should run well.
No1 AEECEE TIANHU was ok enough last start when a short priced favourite. Up to the mile suits.

R3 – 3.29pm. South Newcastle Rugby League Club Maiden Handicap - 1200m.
No6 SPORTY has been trialing up well coming into the debut run here and gets a good run on the map.
No4 MISSILE ATTACK (BEST ROUGHIE) found the line well enough at Canberra and should run well here
No2 KEY TO GLORY was ok enough fresh and gets the blinkers back on here and should run well.
No1 SPECTER HARVEY on debut has trialled up in good order and has his chance.
VALUE RUNNER: No4 MISSILE ATTACK
R4 – 4.04pm. Wingham Brewery Maiden Handicap - 1400m.
No5 PULANG PULA (NEXT BEST BET) just missed when charging through the line last start and should be much better suited by the step up to the 1400m here. From gate 8 Jennings just sits behind them and will finish over the top.
No2 USURP comes out of the same race last start and looks to be the exacta horse.
No3 SCRATCHES was solid enough on debut when working through the line well, maybe she wants further now however.
No4 TEMPRADO looks to be next best here.

R5 – 4.49pm Net Modular Class 2 Handicap - 1400m.
No3 IMPERIAL EAGLE (BEST BET) comes out of a good race last start and looks to be calling out for the 1400m now. He hasn’t won yet this time in, but comes out of some very good form and should be quite hard to beat again here.
No1 PLAISIR was good enough first-up and should run well here.
No4 BRAY comes back in grade from a good highway last start and is better suited back to 1400m.
No5 EXCELSIOR broke his maiden last start, but this looks to be much tougher.

R6 – 5.29pm. Calvary Mater Maiden Plate - 1850m.
No5 KUNG FU MASTER should appreciate the blinkers going on here and stepping up in distance and looks hard to beat.
No6 MACHISMO ran right through the line last start and the step up in distance here is suitable.
No9 CLASSIC THOUGHTS got too far back last start and worked through the line well, she gets a soft run here on the map.
No12 WEAVING MAGIC worked through the line well last start and will appreciate the open spaces of Newcastle

R7 – 6.05pm. Prosperity Advisers Group Benchmark 68 Handicap - 1200m.
No4 CLEVANICC resumes here and looks to be well placed fresh, he probably needs to win this to get into provincial championships contention.
No12 PERSIA resumes here and has been trialing up in good enough order coming in
No6 SINGLE AND FREE should be much fitter after the first-up run, but gets a sticky run on the map.
No10 LECIA’S LASS probably didn’t appreciate the firm track last start and is much better suited to 1200m.

R8 – 6.45pm. Prosperity Smart Drive Class 2 Handicap - 1400m.
No6 DIVINE BREEZE looks to be a pretty smart filly, she beat nothing on debut but did it without raising a sweat.
No5 CHILLY CHA CHA resumes here and did a good job in the first preparation and the 1400m kick off works well.
No3 BUKZEL got the job done last start, but not in emphatic fashion, she is on the way up however.
No4 CELTIC LOVE did a good job winning fresh, and gets a good run on the map from gate 1.
