Sunshine Coast (Friday) Betting Preview & Tips

Betting tips for every race at Sunshine Coast. Today’s best bet is in race 1.

Wed, 28 Feb, 3:40 PM

A big Friday night at the Sunshine Cost with reasonable size fields and plenty of chances in most. The rail is out which can suit those getting to the crown of the track first. Without wanting to sound like a broken record, watch out for sudden storms which will see a track down grade.

QUADDIES (races 5-6-7-8)

Skinny Play:  2,6,/5,7/1,2/1,11

Wide Play: 1,2,6,11/3,5,7,11/1,2,5,10/1,2,3,11

Next Best Bet: R3 – 3. NAKED

Best Roughie: R8 – 11. RISEUPSKATING

R1 - 5.53pm. Steps Charity Class 3 - 1200m.

No2 SUGGAN BUGGAN (BEST BET) Should have won the Magic Millions Cup when second and then ran into a traffic jam when unplaced Doomben next start. The one to beat.

No1 SMASHED IT Strong Gold Coast winner two runs back and then no luck when fourth there last time.

No4 SO INVINCIBLE Good winner this track two starts back and handy enough when just behind the placegetters at Doomben when winner scored by seven-lengths.

No5 SAVANNAH ROSE Placed twice this track before a break over longer trips. Can run well fresh.

R2 - 6.23pm. Nautical Roofing Three Year old Maiden - 1300m.

No3 SET TO CONQUER Well-bred and despite failing both starts was an eye catcher winning at Gold Coast trial recently.

No4 TEYSSIER Has been placed two of past three runs at this track and looks a top hope in this weak race.

No5 COUNTRY LUCK Had some strong form last campaign and then even run first up when fifth this track. But did also trial well previously.

No9 SHOWY LADY Placed first race start this track and then decked last time so forgive ordinary effort.

R3 - 6.53pm. Elite Trade Supplies Three Year old Maiden - 1300m.

No3 NAKED (NEXT BEST BET) Only fair first-up when had little luck but this looks an ideal race on previous campaign form.

No1 FOXY AFFAIR Had strong form last campaign with two placings in three starts and has trialled nicely coming into this.

No4 SOUL SECRETS Has got no favours with his barrier but good second this track last start gives him a top chance here.

No9 GREAT POWERS Excellent effort when second at the Gold Coast last start and this is no harder.

R4 - 7.23pm. B A Murphy Constructions Class 2 Hcp - 1000m.

No1 ALL PLUCK Placed both runs from a spell in harder races and gets his chance to win here despite big weight.

No2 PRIDE OF DESTINY Has had a few problems but good winner two starts back at the Gold Coast and handy when fourth Ipswich last time.

No3 CORAL BAY Has plenty of ability but can get into trouble. Resuming here and must be respected.

No4 SKYSCRAPER Another who has ability but can strike trouble. Has had two trials for his comeback here.

R5 - 7.53pm. Jensen Electrical Maiden Hcp - 1000m.

No2 THIS IS CLASS A well-bred first starter who was a good winner of a trial last month. This doesn't look strong.

No1 HIGH CHIEF Another well-bred first starter who won a trial impressively last month. Looks a hope in a weak race.

No6 BLUE SEATTLE Two race starts last campaign were good and has raced well when fresh.

No11 PLAY THING Form is just fair but she is trained this track and looks ready to improve.

R6 - 8.23pm. Technistone Benchmark 58 Hcp - 1300m.

No3 DISTROYIA No luck when resuming at the Gold Coast and then had a solid trial last month. On his day would be too good for this field.

No7 PORTSEA Has finished worse than fourth in only one start from past five efforts. This looks suitable.

No5 GYPSY MISS Recent form has been in much harder races where she hasn't been disgraced. This looks far easier for her.

No11 MAGIC SCENE Central Queensland form is solid with a last start second in a handy race at Rockhampton. Each-way here.

R7 - 8.53pm. G and S Plumbing Class 1 Hcp - 1600m.

No2 OH WHY Good winner at his first start and then ran into trouble when fourth this track last time.

No1 MAKING SHADOWS Winner this track two runs back on heavy going and then a fair effort last time on the dry.

No5 LE DRAMA Consistent and broke his maiden status with a strong win this track last time. Each-way again here.

No10 PAGE ONE Still a maiden but gets down in the weights here and form has been solid around some promising horses.

R8 - 9.23pm. Drains Kleen Class 1 - 2200m.

No2 DARK ELEMENT Strong winner at 1600m at Ballina last start and looks as though the 2200m will suit. This is very weak.

No3 ELVISON Toowoomba winner two starts back and then struck trouble when failed last time. Give another chance.

No11 RISEUPSKATING (BEST ROUGHIE) A maiden who will be big odds here but has been running home hard at 1600m of late and very well placed this distance with a light weight.

No1 DANGER IN DEVON Plodder who won two starts back and then a fair fourth last time. The big track and 2200m a benefit.
