Cranbourne (Friday) Betting Preview & Tips
Betting tips for every race at Cranbourne today’s best bet is in race 7.
There appears to be two smart types resuming here tonight with Rioli (named after the flying Rioli family of AFL fame) and Ruby Sea.
Rioli has recently relocated and could not go to a finer trainer than Darren Weir and expect him to be running strong in the Seventh Race. Ruby Sea has collected a strong record of two wins and two seconds at her only seven starts and she usually thrives fresh. She looks set to close the eight-race card on a high in the Eighth Race. The weather should be fine with the track rated as a Good 4. The false rail will be at the true position.

No9 REALITY SHOW
VALUE RUNNER: No9 REALITY SHOW
R2 – 7.00pm. 3-Y-O Fillies Maiden – 1500m.
No3 INDRABEEL came in for strong support when finishing second in a 1300m maiden at Bendigo on February 28. Did not have a clear shot last start and she strikes her own age and sex again here. Good appeal.
No9 THINK DIAMONDS
No2 DOUBLE THE MAGIC
VALUE RUNNER: No9 THINK DIAMONDS
R3 – 7.30pm. Maiden Plate – 1400m.
No12 LONGMU has been placed at two starts back from a spell. Latest was third over 1200m maiden at Canterbury on February 21. Gets the hot Melbourne rider Regan Bayliss to steer and from the hot stable of Peter and Paul Snowden.
No10 ROCK ‘EM SOCK ‘EM
No4 AMERICAN STORM
VALUE RUNNER: No4 AMERICAN STORM
R4 – 8.00pm. Fillies & Mares Maiden Plate – 1200m.
No12 UPTOWN GAL (NEXT BEST BET) on her exposed form looks too good for this lot racing against her own sex. Was not pushed at her two trials over 800m here and she ran on well enough. She will be fit and gets top jockey Luke Currie to guide from barrier four. She is down from Melbourne stakes class last spring to a Cranbourne maiden here.
No3 MISS ARRIETA
No10 ROYAL PARADE
VALUE RUNNER: No2 CHAMPENOISE
R5 – 8.30pm. BM64 Handicap – 1500m.
No1 VENATOR won very well at Sale over 1419m on February 20. Was heavily backed into a $2.50 favourite and cruised to the line by 2.25 lengths. Drops a kilo to 60.5kg and gets top apprentice Ben Thompson to guide.
No4 MEGA D’ORO
No2 TOORAK PLAYBOY
No3 CITRUS WISH
VALUE RUNNER: No3 CITRUS WISH
R6 – 9.00pm. BM64 Handicap – 2025m.

No7 MANNING ROAD
No8 AURORA MISS
VALUE RUNNER: No1 STARTIERRA
R7 – 9.30pm. BM70 Handicap – 1000m.
No8 RIOLO (BEST BET) is a smart youngster having his first start for new trainer Darren Weir. The three-year-old showed plenty of potential for Robert Smerdon and usually goes very well fresh. Has the tongue tie coming off and stable rider Ben Allen to guide from five.
No1 TOORAK COWBOY
No5 CHARLIE GARCON
No9 VALENTE (BEST ROUGHIE)
VALUE RUNNER: No9 VALENTE
R8 – 10.00pm. BM64 Handicap – 1300m.
