No6 RASPBERRY ROSE Showed excellent potential on debut when she sat back and motored home to beat Dancing Tycoon, Lucky Reward by 4.25-length 1000m Pakenham 3Yr Fillies Maiden Soft6 Oct. 14 then slowly away and didn’t fire when 3.7-length last of 7 to Canelo 1206m Benalla BM64 Good4 as $1.90 fav Oct. 31. Obviously has plenty of ability and gets back to Soft going for her resumption here. Respect.

No1 INNOCENT LILY Form was hard to fault in five runs this campaign before sitting handy and losing ground on turn when 7.8-length ninth Scoliaro 1200m Moonee Valley Good3 BM64 56.5kg Mar. 2. Won previous two starts Geelong 1200m BM58 Good4 58.5kg Jan. 28 and 1200m Ballarat BM58 58.5kg Good3 Feb. 13. Rises in weight but returns to her own sex here and can bounce back to winning form.

No2 KRONOS Unplaced four runs since debut winner 1050m Morphettville 2Yr-Old last April. Didn’t have much luck final 100m when 3.15-length eighth The Mayor 1000m Sandown 3Yr BM64 60kg Mar. 21. Drops 2kg here and facing easier opposition. Not the roughest.

No9 SOLDIER’S OPERA Heavily-backed favourite when length second Light On Ice 1200m Bairnsdale 0-58 Handicap Soft7 56kg Mar. 24. Soft ground will be in his favour but place prospects look best.

VALUE RUNNER: No8 RED GUCCI

R7 – 4.30pm. Sale Water Specialists BM64 Handicap – 1400m.

No4 ROSSMAN Improved off debut 2-length third Viking Raid, Olympic Lad 1300m Bendigo 3Yr Maiden 58kg Good4 Mar. 6 then too good for Jacky Paper, Cochada 1400m Sandown Hillside Maiden 58kg Good4 two weeks ago. Meets Viking Raid on same weight terms for 2-length but has further improvement in him and looks the one to beat. Untried on wet tracks but is by Mossman and that breed are normally ‘swimmers’.

No1 RIPPLEBROOK (BEST ROUGHIE) Led and battled on strongly for 1.45-length third Heptagon. Kazio 1400m Sandown 54.5kg Good4 Mar. 14 then struck trouble at 1000m when 6.35-length 15th Souffrant 1300m 3Yr BM64 there last Wednesday. Won successive races this track over 1400m good4 Maiden Nov. 15 and Soft5 BM58 Dec. 1 before a spell. Loves this track and has soft conditions to suit. Rates highly.

No5 VIKING RAID  Speedy customer who has the pace to cross this field from wide gate. Led and had too many guns for Olympic Lad, Rossman 1300m Bendigo 3Yr Maiden 58kg good4 Mar. 6 then led and headed at 150m when 5.5-length third Lipstick Lover 1600m Sandown BM64 58kg Good4 two weeks back. Finished consecutive fourths two runs this track 1423m Soft6 Maiden Aug. 17 and first-up 1105m Good3 Feb. 4. May be better suited coming back in trip.

VALUE RUNNER: No1 RIPPLEBROOK

R2 – 1.35pm. Ladbrokes Maiden Plate – 1200m.

No2 HOLLYWOOD VINE Made a good impression on debut when he led but found winner too smart when 2.3-length second Made In Russia 1300m Morphettville Parks 57.5kg Good4 Dec. 2. Will be improved by that run and from barrier 1 will give them something to catch in this easier grade. Noel Callow goes on.

No6 THE WILD CAT Solid debut effort when he raced outside leader and fought strongly to the line for 2.35-length sixth Lady Cartier 1400m Bendigo Maiden 58kg Mar. 13. That was a tough assignment first-up and has been freshened for the shorter trip here. Keep safe.

No5 TAVSOMEFUN Well-bred gelding making debut. Granddam was the AJC Oaks winner On Air and his dam by Danehill won four of 17 starts 1300m to 1600m. By Tavistock so he looks a stayer on the rise but it would not surprise to see him sprint well fresh in this moderate grade. Watch the market.

No4 REWARD THE MISSES Had a tough run first-up on Soft5 track when 7-length eighth Miss Nitro 1000m Bairnsdale 58kg Mar. 24. Sound debut third Purely Royal 1000m Cranbourne 2Yr Maiden last April and has been brought along slowly since. Likely improver.
