Unfortunately there is rain forecast by the Weather Bureau for this weekend to dampen expectations for Sunday’s running of the Terang Cup.
The track is rated currently as a Good 3, but with rain predicted for Saturday and Sunday would expect the rating to be downgraded.
Victoria’s leading trainer Darren Weir holds a strong hand of aces with Yogi being his leading ace in the time-honoured Cup. Weir will saddle four of the listed 12 runners in the Cup, with Falago, Chequered Flag and Ancient King being a strong support to Yogi.
Yogi gave a strong home-finishing performance to claim fourth over 1800m at Caulfield first up from a 25-week spell on March 31. He drops 1.5kg to 56.5kg and gets top rider Craig Williams to guide.
