Kensington (Wednesday) Betting Preview & Tips
Betting tips for every race at Kensington. Today’s best bet is in race 5.
Kensington for their first meeting in what is it, 3 years? This is the inner track at Randwick and if it holds up, it can be one of our best tracks in the Sydney circuit taking the stress off of Canterbury and Warwick Farm. The track has walked quite well and in recent trials has looked good, so here’s hoping. Rail True, track good.
QUADDIES (races 4-5-6-7)
Skinny Play: 1,2 - 6 - 3,6,9 - 4,9
Wide Play: 1,2,3,5 - 3,4,6 - 3,6,8,9 - 3,4,5,9
BEST BET: R5 – 6. Seaway
Next Best Bet: R3 – 5. Warranty
Best Roughie: R7 – 3. Sir Magic
R1 – 1.25pm. All Too Hard @ Vinery Handicap - 1300m.
No7 Gododdin brings Pure Elation form to this and we saw that form stack up over the weekend at Randwick, out to 1300m and the bigger track suits.
No1 Charge has been working well towards a trip like this, this time in and the form is ok enough.
No5 Select Royal will be strongest through the line here, on debut, he was good behind a Group 1 winner, that form should be ok enough.
No2 Federation comes to the home track for the first time and should be suited by the step up in distance.
VALUE RUNNER: No5 Select Royal
R2 – 2.00pm. #THERACES Plate - 1300m.
No5 Deft on debut here has been trialing well enough coming into this and gets a good run on the map form gate 4 for Bowman.
No9 Stock Up comes through the same form line as Assioma behind Scream Park and was very good fresh.
No1 All Too Free should cross and lead them up from the wide gate here, she wasn’t too bad fresh and should be better second-up.
No2 Assioma brings good form, from the first prep to this and has trialled up well and should be improved.
*SCRATCHED* VALUE RUNNER: No1 All Too Free
R3 – 2.35pm. Exopshere Standing at Darley Handicap - 1100m.
No5 Warranty (NEXT BEST BET) is the best horse in this field, but could give them a big start here. She is a very classy filly who brings the best form into this race and has trialed in awesome order leading into this.
No1 Revenire was utterly dominant fresh when winning in slick time, gate 1 a touch of an issue here.
No10 Sei Stella probably should be undefeated, and although it was Gundagai win last start, it was easy work.
No6 Excelling won the maiden well at the end of last prep and has trialled well coming in.
VALUE RUNNER: No10 Sei Stella
R4 – 3.10pm. Bowermans Office Furniture Handicap - 2400m.
No2 Hoof Hustler has been working well towards this distance this time in and finds Bowman, he has the upside.
No1 Bon Equus has been going quite well this prep and the big weight won’t be an issue for him at all.
No3 Only Tiger finished behind Bon Equus last start, and despite the weight swing, it’s hard to see that result getting turned around.
No5 Jagger has the same set up as Only Tiger here and it’s the same comment!
VALUE RUNNER: No2 Hoof Hustler
R5 – 3.45pm. Ribchester New To Darley Handicap - 1550m.
No6 Seaway (BEST BET) will appreciate the step up to the 1550m second-up from a spell, he was well backed and closed off quite well fresh. He is a good horse who will appreciate the step up here and could well be a Qld Derby horse.
No4 Our Mantra found the Tulloch a bit too tough last start, it is Group 1 form now, back in grade suits.
No1 Dubaiinstyle was good enough fresh. His form last time in was quite good and he has come back better.
*SCRATCHED* No3 Arancini gets a quiet run on the map here from gate 1 and gets a good claim down in the weights.
VALUE RUNNER: No1 Dubaiinstyle
R6 – 4.20pm. Ranvet Handicap - 1300m.
No9 Sexy Eyes gets a good run on the map just behind the speed for Glyn here, she will just need that touch of luck turning for home to be winning here.
No6 No Interest can settle that touch closer from gate 5 here, her form is good enough, it’s just her racing pattern that is a worry.
No3 Vigilance resumes here and took on some good races last time in, he needs to show something here though.
No8 Schubert broke a long run of outs last start in quite good style, the time was solid enough for the day.
VALUE RUNNER: No3 Vigilance
R7 – 4.55pm. TAB.com.au Handicap - 1100m.
No9 Nines Enough from the wide gate of 11, can jump and run them along here, now that she has won a race she may well have found her best self again, at her best she is very good.
No4 I am Poppy should be much fitter second-up here in Australia, she was caught in the wrong part of the track there and should be hard to beat again.
*SCRATCHED* No3 Sir Magic (BEST ROUGHIE) has Demerara form, and that is quite strong for a race like this. Davies bringing her to Town fresh, suggests she is flying.
No5 Zafina didn’t have the best of luck at Canberra last start, the form around her is quite good.
*SCRATCHED* VALUE RUNNER: No3 Sir Magic
