Betting tips for every race at Muswellbrook. Today’s best bet is in race 5.

Thu, 19 Apr, 7:00 AM

Muswellbrook for Friday country racing here in the New South Wales region. We have eight races here with big fields throughout the day. The rail is back into the true position with the weather in the lead up fine, so track will be good.

QUADDIES (races 5-6-7-8)

Skinny Play:  1,6  -  1,2  -  1,3,7   -  5,6,9

Wide Play:  1,3,6  -  1,2,3,6  -  1,3,7,8  -  3,5,6,9

BEST BET: R5 – 6. Waruna

Next Best Bet: R3 – 10. World Force

Best Roughie: R4 – 8. Star Of New York

R1 – 12.30pm. Widden Stud Maiden Plate - 1750m.

SCRATCHED - No13 The Savant gets out to what looks to be a suitable distance here, too far back last start at Tamworth and she will find 1750m suitable.

No1 Augusta In April

No3 Mr Butcher

No6 Talladega Knight

VALUE RUNNER: No3 Mr Butcher

R2 – 1.10pm. Miss Finland 2yo Fillies Maiden Plate - 1000m.

No 15 Lady Of Shalott has been trialing well coming into the debut run here, being by Camelot she may want further, but I have liked the trials.

No7 Dundee Lee

No5 Daisy Pluck

No3 Lu’s In Charge

VALUE RUNNER: No5 Daisy Pluck

R3 – 1.50pm. Star Kingdom 2YO C&G Handicap - 1000m.

No10 World Force (NEXT BEST BET) has been going about his business quite well at the trials, Snowdens usually send a good one to this meeting before the Scone meeting in two weeks. So I am trusting what they do yet again.

No2 Fearless Al

No5 His Kingdom

No7 Smooth Factor

VALUE RUNNER: No5 His Kingdom

R4 – 2.30pm. Viatek Maiden Handicap - 1280m.

SCRATCHED - No8 Star Of New York (BEST ROUGHIE) was sensationally backed last start before pulling up with issues, trust the SP. The trial since was quite good, this is weaker.

No9 On A Comet

No2 Gundy

SCRATCHED - No6 Road To Nowhere

R5 – 3.05pm. Monteath & Powys Class 1 Handicap - 1280m.

No6 Waruna (BEST BET) was a very good winner on debut and should only improve for the run there. I like the jockey change to Bullock on board and the step up in distance here should only suit and she should storm over the top of them.

No1 Tirone Miss

No3 Yeoman

No2 Testaview

R6 – 3.40pm. Horsepower Benchmark 62 Handicap -1280m.

No1 Dylan’s Dynasty closed off in good order fresh and was quite well backed there, and this is a step back in grade.

No2 Doosey

No3 Still Undaunted

No6 We’re Smokin

VALUE RUNNER: No6 We’re Smokin

R7 – 4.20pm. Lone Pine Charge - 1000m.

No3 Salerno resumes here and has the best 1000m record in the race. The two trials coming into this have been quite good.

No1 Profiler

No7 Goldfinch

No8 Bonita

R8 – 4.55pm. Godolphin Benchmark 65 Handicap - 1500m.

No6 Bills A Goodie got too far back with the big weight fresh. He brings good highway form to this and should be better suited second-up.

No9 Kiarra Rose

No5 Surjin

No3 Zigamore

VALUE RUNNER: No9 Kiarra Rose
