Wow, what a cracking race! VIRIDINE is good odds for a horse that started favourite in the Group Two Arrowfield Sprint which contained a number of outstanding three-year-olds. He started favourite that day and remarkably is roughly around the same price here in what is a far easier race. He had no luck in the Arrowfield and pretty much had no clear run at any stage. Go on his third to In Her Time in The Galaxy two runs ago while he finished fourth to Redzel in the Challenge Stakes first-up.
COMIN THROUGH is worth a shot in what looks to be a hot race. The Chris Waller runner finished a good second to Happy Clapper in the Doncaster Mile and that is brilliant form considering that horse then finished third to Winx in the Queen Elizabeth. The four-year-old is set to get a gun run from gate five and the 1800m probably suits him better than the 2000m he faced last start.
We absolutely love the price about ALOISIA here. She is a Group One winner of the Thousand Guineas and also knocked off Cliff’s Edge in the MV Vase during the Spring. Not convinced she is a 2400m+ horse because she has failed to place in the VRC and Aus Oaks over that trip, but at 2000m, that looks her pet distance. She finished third to Hiyaam two starts back in the Vinery Stud after sitting wide the trip. At even weights against her own sex, she only needs luck from barrier 13 to figure in the finish.
