5 Bets To Get You Up This Weekend
We've gone through our sport and racing tips for this week and think these are your five best bets for Saturday and Sunday.
This weekend sees the Doomben Cup, The Goodwood, some massive NRL and AFL matchups and the FA Cup Final. What have we come up with as your 5 tickets to a successful weekend on the punt?
Rosehill Race 3 (12:40PM Saturday)
The Tip: Epidemic to Win
Why: Won at this course and distance two weeks ago, finishing with the fastest 400m and 200m splits of the day to win on the line. A bit harder here but will be fitter after that run and should give a really good performance.
Flemington Race 5 (2:10PM Saturday)
The Tip: Boom Time to Win
Why: Boom Time put in a great performance first-up and could've easily won under a big weight and difficult trip. This distance is more suitable (2000m) and looks set to turn the tables on Tarquin.
If you think Boom Time is a good shot at winning at Flemington this Saturday and live in an eligible state or territory, you can take advantage of Sportsbet's signup offer where your first deposit of $50will give you $150in bonus bets!** You could use the bonus bet on Boom Time and if it wins, you'd net a return of $255!*
Excl. NSW, VIC, SA, WA
NRL - Cowboys v Rabbitohs (5:30PM Saturday)
The Tip: Souths to Win
Why: Not many expected it but Souths are seriously a good team this year. They've won four of their last five including a very impressive victory over league-leaders St George-Illawarra last week and face a lowly Cowboys side who have done nothing but disappoint all year. Souths are a good price to fill multis this week or even take straight up.
FA Cup Final - Chelsea v Man United (02:15AM Sunday)
The Tip: Under 2.5 Goals
Why: 15 of the last 23 FA Cup Finals have ended with less than 3 goals and this one seems like it won't be any different. United closed out their league campaign with 7 of their last 9 games seeing under 3 goals while Chelsea also saw under 3 goals in 4 of their last 5 games. Short price but seems a great bet.
AFL - Carlton v Melbourne (1:10PM Sunday)
The Tip: Melbourne 40+
Why: The Demons have hit their stride in the last three weeks, winning by an average margin of 48 in that span. They play a Calrton side who finally broke through for their first win last week but it was not exactly an impressive performance. Melbourne should be able to put the Blues away by a big margin.
