Bendigo and Nowra are the venues for today’s racing selections and we have three outstanding bets for you to have a crack at. It all starts early on in the day at Bendigo before switching to Nowra for the Showcase Cup before heading back to Bendigo for their final event on the card.

Nowra is racing on a Soft 5 with the rail in the true position.

Bendigo is racing on a Soft 5 with the rail in the true position the entire circuit.

Race 2 (Bendigo) – 12:20pm Camvex Video Surveillance Maiden Plate 1100m

KIWI SHOWGIRL resuming from a 206-day spell but this Showcasing Filly looks extremely well placed to breakthrough for her maiden victory here today. Showed ability last preparation finishing third at both her starts to date and that form should stack up here. Has placed over the track and distance and drawn to settle just behind the speed and look for her to be coming home strong in the straight. Ticks all the boxes and looks ready to win first up. Huge chance.

Race 7 (Nowra) – 3:54pm Country Motor Company Nowra Showcase Cup 1600m

GRAND FINALIST (BEST BET) is drawn to get the run of the race and shapes as the one they all will need to beat here today. Led and faded in the final hundred meters when beaten by 3 lengths by Seaway at Canterbury over the 1550 meters. Seaway went around at Rosehill yesterday. Jockey Rachel King should take this Wanted gelding straight to the front and will be hard to run down if she can get away with cheap midrace sectionals. Is fit and ready to fire and is a serious chance.

Race 9 (Bendigo) – 4:25pm Bendigo RSL Museum Restoration BM70 Handicap 1600m

Racing in consistent form of late, FILBERT WAY was a tough winner at this track a fortnight ago. On that occasion, Filbert Way settled behind the speed before coming home strong to get the narrow victory right on the winning post. Sticks to his favourite distance and will look to make it successful victories here today. Has drawn a tad wide but if he can find cover in the first few hundred meters and be saved for one crack at them in the straight he will be in it for a long way. Winning chance.
