Wander headlines our three selections for the day and we think the Godolphin gelding is ready to record the second win of his career. He isn’t the only one we have found at Hawkesbury while our other selection features at the Townsville program.
Hawkesbury is a Good 4 with the rail out 3m from the 1000m to the 400m. True the remainder.
Townsville is a Good 4 with the rail out 8m from the 1000m to the winning post. 3m out for the remainder of the course.
Lightly raced Elvstroem gelding MONSIEUR SISU looked impressive at his debut at Warwick Farm and is sure to strip fitter second-up here today. Settled in a midfield position before coming home strong to just fail in going down by the smallest possible margin. Has drawn to get the run of the race and will look to atone for his last start narrow defeat. Looks to have found the right race to break through. Serious chance.
SCRATCHED - RED HOT ROMEO as returned in fine form since resuming from a spell and can atone for his last start defeat at Mackay here today. Go on his dominant 3.7 length victory also at Mackay two starts back when proving way too good for his rivals. Looked a touch unlucky last start and is ready to return to the winners circle. Has a great record over the distance and has placed at his only start on the track. Looks a serious chance and shapes like the one they all need to beat. Huge chance.
WANDER (BEST BET) looked good at Wyong when resuming from a spell a fortnight ago and is the one they all need to beat. Started the hot favourite and didn’t have much luck in the running finishing two lengths from the winner last start but can bounce back into the winner’s circle. Could start short and does looks like the one they all need to beat. Key Player.
