Friday Racing Tips - 1st June
We are going ‘all in’ at the Geelong program today which is the scene of our three best bets.
Racing at Geelong today is on the Synthetic which can be a little tricky for punters because some horses really take to the surface, while others don’t. We have run our eye over the form and think we have three top notch chances at getting a collect on the card.
Gosford is racing on the Synthetic with the rail in the true position the entire circuit.
Race 2 (Geelong) – 1:30pm Renedine Constructions F&M Maiden 1100m
*SCRATCHED* CONSIDER IT DONE hasn’t had a lot of racing but looks to have found the perfect race to break through for her much-deserved maiden victory here today. Led and faded in the final 100 metres when beaten a length at Canterbury a month back. Has drawn to get the run of the race and looks the one they all need to beat. Sticking with her.
Race 4 (Geelong) – 2:30pm IGA Liquor Maiden Plate 1300m
Down in grade, THANKS BUDDY looks to have found the right race to get a win on the board. Will strip fitter third-up and despite being beaten by 3.4 lengths at Geelong last start, she will defiantly make her presence felt here today that’s for sure. Drawn to get the gun run behind the speed and look for her making good ground in the straight. Doesn’t look like a strong field so we are expecting a huge effort by this Von Costa De Hero filly.
Race 7 (Geelong) – 4:00pm Ron Taylor 90th Birthday BM64 Handicap 1200m
SEIZED (BEST BET) is racing in consistent form of late and can atone for his defeat at Donald last start. On that occasion, he settled in the middle of the field before coming home well to be beaten by 3.4 lengths without having a great deal of luck in the run. Did win well by a length two starts back at Bendigo and with a clean getaway he will be in this for a long way. Has a good record over the distance and will have plenty admirers. Hard to beat.
