Rosehill Racing Preview & Tips - Saturday 30th June

The big wet has continued in Sydney this week so we have done our Soft and Heavy form to help you find a winner.

A very nice nine-race card awaits punters this Saturday at Rosehill. Rain throughout the week has pushed the track into the Heavy range so we have focused on those horses that love the sting out of the ground. One of our best is Tango Rain which goes around in the final event – he is knocking on the door for a win!

Looks as though we are racing on a Heavy 8 with the rail out 3m the entire trip.

Race 1 – 11:30am Half Yearly Membership Handicap 1400m

TOUOUSE looked impressive when breaking through on this track a fortnight ago and looks perfectly placed to take out the opening event of the program here today. Won on the Soft going last time out and beat a few smart types including the previously unbeaten Ronstar. Key player.

1st: No2 TOULOUSE; 2nd: No4 Bubbles’n’troubles; 3rd: No1 Dio D’oro; 4th: No3 Sokudo

Race 2 – 12:05pm TAB Highway Handicap 1400m

Lightly raced gelding BOCELLI (BEST BET) has won three out of his five starts and will be looking to make it successive victories here today after a good 1.4 length victory at Goulburn last start. Beaten by half a length on this track a month ago in Highway company by Dia de Reyes. Had strong support last start and will once again be well in the market. The pick of the program.

1st: No4 BOCELLI; 2nd: No5 Gitan; 3rd: No2 Realing; 4th: No7 Cliff

Race 3 – 12.40pm #THERACES Handicap 1500m

PRIDE OF DARCI is out of the Tim Martin yard and is racing well and worth a bet in this. Won at Gosford last time out on the Soft so is sure to lap up the conditions of this race. He was second-up that day and is sure to be near his peak third-up. Drawn to get the run of the race from gate four. Eachway all day!

1st: No11 PRIDE OF DARCI; 2nd: No3 Lisdoonvarna; 3rd: No1 Gresham; 4th: *SCRATCHED* No6 Jolly Honour

Race 4- 1.15pm Book Spring Now Sprint 1100m

BROOK MAGIC led and proved a tad to good when winning at Randwick last start and will be looking to go back-to-back in this. The filly was impressive in leading throughout to beat the in-form She Knows, which romped home by nearly two-and-a-half lengths last week at headquarters. Has drawn well so look for her to settle near the speed and be the one they all need to run down. Leading contender.

1st: No2 BROOK MAGIC; 2nd: No3 Difficult To Get; 3rd: No1 Upscale; 4th: No7 Duchess Pedrille

Race 5 – 1.50pm TAB Rewards Handicap 1800m

Chris Waller and Brenton Avdulla combine in this race with SO SPLENDID. Beaten by less than two lengths last start she can atone for that defeat here today. Will strip fitter second-up and going on form last preparation she will be in this for a long way. Rates well.

1st: No2 SO SPLENDID; 2nd: No1 La Chica Bella; 3rd: No6 Marabel; 4th: No5 Walk The Streets

Race 6 – 2.25pm Winter Cup 2400m

We are tipping Waller will win consecutive races after SAYED gets the money here. Will strip fitter third-up and sure to be very competitive on his home track. Beaten by half a length last start when coming home strong but found Black On Gold too good on the day. Has the form to give this an almighty shake. Stick with him.

1st: No2 SAYED; 2nd: *SCRATCHED* No3 Nurse Kitchen; 3rd: *SCRATCHED* No7 Plymouth Road; 4th: No4 Harper’s Choice

Race 7 – 3.05pm Civic Stakes 1350m

Promising galloper FLOW is our on top selection in this. Out of the James Cummings yard, Flow was too good in winning at this track on June 16 when beating Invinzabeel and New Universe. That was his first run back from a spell and he has won twice second-up previously. Wet track won’t be an issue either.

1st: No13 FLOW; 2nd: No11 Sir Bacchus; 3rd:  *SCRATCHED*No7 Invinzabeel; 4th: No6 Mister Sea Wolf

Race 8 – 3:45pm ATC Owner Benefits Card Handicap 1500m

BRACES has won his past two starts and will be at juicy odds here today. Chased hard to prevail on the line when winning by a short margin at Canterbury last start and can rack up the hat-trick, however, will need things to go his way. Likes the wet as four of his six career wins have come on Soft or Heavy going. Value.

1st: No7 BRACES; 2nd: No2 Monasterio; 3rd: No6 Feelin The Love; 4th: No8 Cosmic Engine

Race 9 – 4:25pm Sydney’s West App Handicap 1100m

TANGO RAIN (NEXT BEST BET) looked good when beaten by half a length on this track last start and can atone for that narrow defeat here today. Has a good record over the track and distance and looks hard to beat. Only the heavily backed stablemate (Albumin) got the better of him last time out. Looks to be working back to his best form. Serious player.

1st: No7 TANGO RAIN; 2nd: No5 Perizada; 3rd: No3 Isorich; 4th: No9 Top Striker
