Saturday Racing Previews & Tips - Best of the rest - 7th July
Adelaide’s two leading trainers seem to have a few good gallopers at today’s meeting at Gawler and we have identified a few that will be hard to beat.
We are relying on leading trainers Tony McEvoy and Darren Weir to get us the cash with our three standout tips of the day at Gawler. Night Falls looked impressive last start and can go on with it now while Miss Siska will give them something to catch with her early speed.
Gawler is racing on a Soft 5 with the rail True the entire circuit.
Gawler Race 3 - 1:16PM Goldin Farms - Akeed Mofeed Handicap (1500 METRES)
NIGHT FALLS has drawn perfectly and will be the one they all need to beat here today. Settled near the rear before coming home too strong for his rivals when winning at Warrnambool last start. Having his first start in Adelaide but looks perfectly placed to make it successive victories. Big show expected.
1st: No1 NIGHT FALLS; 2nd: No4 Super Swoop; 3rd: No2 Chubby Rain; 4th: No6 Fulton Street
Gawler Race 4 - 1:51PM Gawler Caravan Park Handicap (2100 METRES)
Looked impressive last start and we are sticking with CASINO CLUB to make it successive victories on a track she has won on in the past. Settled behind the leaders before pulling away to an impressive 1.4 victory at Morphettville last start. Did win by 1.5 lengths over the track/distance back in April. Will be fit and ready to fire. Big danger.
1st: No7 CASINO CLUB; 2nd: No6 Table of Wisdom; 3rd: No11 Éclair Fiesta; 4th: No1 Dance Of Heroes
Gawler Race 7 - 3:51PM 1847 Wines Handicap (1500 METRES)
Lightly raced mare MISS SISKA is out of the astute Tony McEvoy stable and looks perfectly placed to make it back-to-back victories here today. Proved too slick for her rivals when leading all the way for a comfortable 2 length victory at Echuca last start. Drawn to lead and will prove hard to go past in the straight. Serious player.
1st: No14 MISS SISKA; 2nd: *SCRATCHED* No11 Via Balciano; 3rd: No1 Boggoms; 4th: No8 Merrimen
