Sticking with a dominant last start winner as our best of the day in what shapes as a very open event at Randwick. The top trainers will be relying on some of their horses to take the next step up in grade and with majority of horses in each race some sort of chance, it could be another good day for leading trainer Chris Waller.

Randwick is racing on a Heavy 8 with the rail +9 entire circuit.

QUADDIE PICKS ( 6-7-8-9):

1,2,9,12—1,3,5,6,7—2,4,5,6—1,2,3,6

Randwick Race 1 - 11:35AM #THERACES HANDICAP (1200 METRES)

MARMARIS will strip fitter second-up and looks the one to beat after a great effort when beaten by a length on this track a fortnight back to Dio D’oro. Out of astute Godolphin team this two-year-old Lonhro colt will be hard to beat in the opening event of an exciting program at Royal Randwick here today.

1st: No1 MARMARIS; 2nd: No5 Helaku; 3rd: No2 Thinkin’ Big; 4th: No7 Irish Songs

Randwick Race 2 - 12:10PM TAB HIGHWAY HANDICAP (1200 METRES)

Sticking with NICCONITA to relish these conditions and take out today’s Highway Handicap over 1200m. Beaten by 2.3 lengths on this track last start when settling on the fence and running on strongly in the race won by Two ‘N’ Wellgo. Drawn a tad wide so look for Sydney’s leading jockey to find this filly a nice position with a bit of cover once the gates open. Ready to win.

1st: No4 NICCONITA; 2nd: No6 Hard Merchandise; 3rd: No5 Highway Sixtysix; 4th: No8 Roman Typhoon

Randwick Race 3 - 12:45PM RANDWICK MAYOR'S CUP (1100 METRES)

Lightly raced three-year-old filly ENVY OF ALL (NEXT BEST BET) looked good when saluting at Ipswich last start and will be tough to beat with the perfect barrier draw here today. Has a superb record over the course and looks ready to take the next step up on a track which will suit. Loves the sting out of the ground and will be the one coming home strong late. Key Player.

1st: No3 ENVY OF ALL; 2nd: No2 Bombarding; 3rd: No1 Revenire; 4th: No7 Bella Success

Randwick Race 4 - 1:20PM HALF YEARLY MEMBERSHIP MILE (1600 METRES)

WIDE SPREAD PANIC looks perfectly placed and is ready to bounce back into the winner’s circle on her home track here today. Looked a touch unlucky when beaten by half a length at Wyong last start and will look to atone for that defeat in this winnable race here today. Was well backed last time out behind Mollyfied. Out of astute Waterhouse/ Bott stable, the daughter of Fastnet rock will be ready to fire and looks a serious chance. Sticking with her.

1st: No6 WIDE SPREAD PANIC; 2nd: No3 La Chica Bella; 3rd: No7 Sepoy Acheva; 4th: No5 Queen Misty

Randwick Race 5 - 1:55PM WINTER RACING HANDICAP (2400 METRES)

Sticking with the lightly raced NAHUEL to make it a hat-trick of victories here today. Looked a touch too classy for his rivals last start when streaking away to a length victory at Newcastle over 2340m. A former import who has done extremely well since coming into the care of Richard Freedman and loves a wet track. In red hot form and ready to strike again.

1st: No5 NAHUEL; 2nd: No1 Plymouth Road; 3rd: No4 Hand It In; 4th: No8 Allcash

Randwick Race 6 - 2:30PM TAB REWARDS HANDICAP (1400 METRES)

SEAHAMPTON looked a touch unlucky not to get the victory at Canterbury last start and is poised to atone for that narrow defeat here today. Will definitely strip fitter third-up and drops down in weight significantly in what could be the telling factor over the concluding stages. They backed it last time out so keep an eye on the betting to see if they butter up again.

1st: No12 SEAHAMPTON; 2nd: No9 Oria; 3rd: No1 Ataraxia; 4th: No2 Island Missile

Randwick Race 7 - 3:10PM WALLABY CUP (1800 METRES)

CHATELARD is drawn a touch wide but racing in great form and sure to be a leading contender here today. Looked impressive when getting the bob on the line after coming from a worse than midfield position at Rosehill a fortnight ago. C Waller trains the gelding so we know he will be fit and ready to make a statement once again. In good form, danger.

1st: No5 CHATELARD; 2nd: No3 Dagny; 3rd: No1 Karavali; 4th: No6 Just Shine

Randwick Race 8 - 3:50PM TAB.COM.AU HANDICAP (1300 METRES)

REDOUBLE is backing up after racing at Rosehill seven days ago but looks to have found the right race to bounce back into the winner’s circle here today. Chased hard when just failing to reel in the leader beaten by a neck and has placed when second-up in the past. Ready to make a statement and looms as a big threat to his rivals.

1st: No4 REDOUBLE; 2nd: No2 Best Guess; 3rd: No5 Handfast; 4th: No6 Philosophy

Randwick Race 9 - 4:30PM AUSTRALIAN TURF CLUB SPRINT (1000 METRES)

Talented filly SHE KNOWS (BEST BET) gave her rivals a galloping lesson last start on this track and looks ready to make it successive victories here today. Chased hard and gave nothing else a chance when streaking to an impressive 2.4 length victory a fortnight ago. Up in class and has to carry a bit of weight (575.kgs) but is flying. The one to beat!

1st: No1 SHE KNOWS; 2nd: No2 Nictock; 3rd: No6 Fanning; 4th: No3 Bandipur
