Wednesday Racing Previews & Tips - Warwick Farm 11th July
Good card of racing today at Warwick Farm with several live chances in each event.
Going to stick solid with an impressive last start winner as our best of the day in what shapes as a very open event on a soft Warwick Farm track. The top trainers will be relying on some of their horses to take the next step and expect it to be another good day for leading trainer Chris Waller.
Warwick Farm is racing on a Soft 5 with the rail +3 entire circuit.
Warwick Farm Race 1 - 12:40PM TAB HANDICAP (1600 METRES)
TASK AND PURPOSE is on a seven day back-up and has drawn to be very competitive in the opening event of the program here today. Beaten by 1.3 lengths at Canterbury a week back and looks poised to atone and break through for a much deserved victory.
1st: No6 TASK AND PURPOSE; 2nd: No4 Tarka; 3rd: No3 Estroverto; 4th: No8 Huey
Warwick Farm Race 2 - 1:15PM #THERACES PLATE (1200 METRES)
Sticking with debutant TAYGETA to win on debut after looking impressive at his recent trials. Ran second to Sparkly Star at Rosehill on June 8 in its first trial and that form has been franked with the winner going on to be successful at Warwick Farm. Looks to have plenty of early speed and has drawn well in barrier four. Hard to beat.
1st: No5 TAYGETA; 2nd: No8 Song and Prayer; 3rd: No6 Carano; 4th: No4 Smart Ain’t He
Warwick Farm Race 3 - 1:50PM TAB REWARDS HANDICAP (1250 METRES)
Lightly raced three-year-old filly KISSING GAME (NEXT BEST BET) looked good when saluting at Wyong last start and will be looking to make it successive victories here today. Will strip fitter second-up and has a good record over the distance. Key player
1st: No4 KISSING GAME; 2nd: No1 Intuition; 3rd: No2 Devolving; 4th: No5 Squaw Peak
Warwick Farm Race 4 - 2:25PM AUSTRALIAN TURF CLUB HANDICAP (1300 METRES)
SWEET SCANDAL looked good when saluting by 1.8 lengths at Canterbury last start and will look to make it back-to-back victories here today. Ran second to Sparkly Star on debut at this track before winning easily last start when backed into odds-on favouritism. Prepared by leading trainer Chris Waller, this Sepoy filly looks ready to take the next step up here today. Sticking with her.
1st: No7 SWEET SCANDAL; 2nd: No2 Zonk; 3rd: No1 Royal Fashion; 4th: No3 Mollyfied
Warwick Farm Race 5 - 3:00PM HALLOWED CROWN STANDING AT DARLEY MILE (1600 METRES)
Drawn to get the run of the race, MR HAUSSMANN (BEST BET) looks ready to bounce back into the winner’s circle here today. On a four day back – up after being beaten by 1.5 lengths at Randwick on Saturday. Enjoyed a good run behind the leaders and looked a winning chance at the top of the straight, but couldn’t make up the ground in the race won by Seahampton. Top hope.
1st: No3 MR HAUSSMANN; 2nd: No1 Salesman; 3rd: No5 Fantastic Man; 4th: No7 Another Snappy
Warwick Farm Race 6 - 3:40PM ATC OWNER BENEFITS CARD HANDICAP (1400 METRES)
MAGICUS looked a touch unlucky not to get the victory at Canterbury last start and is poised to atone for that narrow defeat here today. Should be peaking now with four runs under his belt. Looked the winner briefly halfway down the straight last time before being blitzed by Dalmatia Prince in the final 100m. Smart gelding that looks well placed and will prove hard to beat.
1st: No5 MAGICUS; 2nd: No3 He’s a Given; 3rd: No2 Pianissimo; 4th: No1 Mo The Great
Warwick Farm Race 7 - 4:20PM SPRING ON SALE SPRINT (1100 METRES)
WANDER is drawn to get the run of the race and looks well placed to take out the final event of the program here today. Looked a tad disappointing last start at Canterbury after working and fading to seventh in the race won by Dalmatia Prince but gets the chance to atone for that defeat today. Sticking with him.
1st: No8 WANDER; 2nd: No9 Epic Dan; 3rd: No12 Vinnie Power; 4th: No1 Oriental Runner
