Wednesday Racing Previews & Tips - Warwick Farm 1st August

We return to Warwick Farm as we look to start the month with a few winners and have identified a few key hopes here today.

Tue, 31 Jul, 07:30

Chris Waller looks certain to leave Warwick Farm with at least a handful of winners as he has a stranglehold of most races at Warwick Farm here today. Can he take all seven races out? Never say never - he just could.

Warwick Farm is racing on a Good 4 with the rail True.

Warwick Farm Race 1 - 1:00PM BOOK SPRING NOW HANDICAP (1100 METRES)

Sticking with the Chris Waller trained ALTAIR who’s resuming from a spell but has had two trials leading into this and is sure to be very competitive in the opening event of the program here today. Looked good at his only two starts to date - both on this track - and that experience will take him a long way in today’s opener. Big chance.

1st: No4 ALTAIR 2nd: *SCRATCHED* No1 Adana; 3rd: No2 Charge; 4th: No4 Danawi

FOLLOW SUIT (NEXT BEST BET) looked good when defeating Allcash by a short margin on this track last start and he looks ready to make it successive victories here today. Raced in some handy races in June behind the likes of Only Tiger and Plymouth Road, so we expect a huge run from this Show a Heart gelding here today. Hard to beat.

1st: No2 FOLLOW SUIT 2nd: No1 Mutarakem; 3rd: No5 Thunder Road; 4th: No3 Segenhoe

Warwick Farm Race 5 - 3:20PM ATC HONG KONG TOUR HANDICAP (1200 METRES)

SWEET SCANDAL looked ultra-impressive when winning on this track last start and is perfectly placed to make it three successive victories here today. Trained by Chris Waller, we expect this mighty mare to be there when the whips are cracking and hopefully first past the post. Smart mare who can go onto bigger things in the city with a win here today. Key player.

1st: No2 SWEET SCANDAL 2nd: No1 Royal Fashion; 3rd: No5 Gracefilly; 4th: No3 Devolving
