Tuesday Racing Tips - 21st August
We have found a few solid selections for today’s meetings at Pakenham and Muswellbrook that look well-placed to be very competitive.
We have found a few winning hopes that will be primed to be very competitive at both Pakenham and Muswellbrook today. Our top selection looks well-placed to bounce back into the winner’s circle in today’s event at Muswellbrook.
Muswellbrook is racing on Good 4 with the rail +3m from the 1280m to the 300m, where a cutaway applies.
Pakenham is racing on Synthetic with the rail True.
Pakenham Race 2 - 1:55PM EquineTrain F&M Maiden Plate (1600 METRES)
Narrowly beaten on this track on debut sees KEY TO THE MAK perfectly placed to breakthrough for her maiden victory here today. Charged home from well back when beaten by half a length behind No Time Like Now over the 1400m. The extra distance suits, so watch out for her flashing at them late. Key player.
1st: No2 KEY TO THE MAK 2nd: *SCRATCHED* No1 Canotier; 3rd: No3 Laeta; 4th: No5 Midoriyama
Pakenham Race 6 - 4:00PM Viatek BM58 Handicap (1000 METRES)
Lightly raced and consistent mare GUESS AGAIN is resuming from a short let-up and will be out to atone his last start defeat at Donald. Chased hard but was beaten by a smart one at Donald last start and will strip fitter here today. Should get the run of the race and expect this mare to be coming home hard as she possesses a good turn of foot. Serious chance.
1st: No6 GUESS AGAIN 2nd: No2 Duty Dude; 3rd: No3 Kapara; 4th: No7 Miss Mo
Pakenham Race 7 - 4:30PM Middy’s Data & Electrical BM64 Handicap (1600 METRES)
Hard to go past the Hayes and Dabernig trained filly ANGEL (NEXT BEST BET) who ran on strong to prevail by a short margin on this track three weeks back and is sure to be very competitive once again here today. Raced in some handy 2-year-old races last preparation and was competitive behind the likes of Ooohood, Seabrook and Enbihard. Looks well-placed in this grade and this stable is running hot lately. Sticking with her!
1st: No9 ANGEL 2nd: No5 Charlie Road; 3rd: No3 Moonlight Hussler; 4th: No8 Cash Raider
Muswellbrook Race 3 - 2:20pm Speith @Aquisfarm Benchmark 58 Handicap (1000 Metres)
Looks a perfect race for in form gelding FLASH STINGER (BEST BET) to bounce back into the winner’s circle, after being beaten last start in a solid effort. Chased hard but found one better on the day, going down by half a length behind Cheat’m. Has drawn to get the run of the race and will be in this for a long way. The one to beat.
1st: No5 FLASH STINGER 2nd: No2 Mac’s Reward; 3rd: No6 Enjoyable; 4th: No1 Sister Joy
Muswellbrook Race 7 - 4:50pm Dream Ahead @Aquisfarm Class 1 Handicap (Scaled -0.5kg) (1000 Metres)
Looks a good race for WRONGFULLY WRONG to bounce back into the winner’s circle after narrowly missing the placings at Scone last start. Looked the winner with less than a furlong to go, only to tire late finishing fourth. Has drawn to get an easy lead and will be hard to catch over a distance he’s tasted success over in the past. Looks the winner to close the day at Muswellbrook. Big show expected.
1st: No2 WRONGFULLY WRONG 2nd: No3 Good Grab; 3rd: No6 Eyota; 4th: No8 Ramaway
