Monday Racing Tips - 27th August
We’re expecting a few big runs from horses that are going around at Dubbo and Echuca today.
We look to start the week with a few handy gallopers that look perfectly placed to be very competitive at Dubbo and Echuca. Our top pick will prove very hard to beat.
Echuca is racing on a Good 4 with the Rail True.
Dubbo is racing on a Soft 7 with the rail Out 6m from 900m to 400m, Cutaway applies.
Dubbo Race 2 - 1:00pm Kennards Hire Dubbo F&M Maiden Plate (1120 Metres)
Sticking with IN GOOD HEALTH who looks perfectly placed to break through here today. Just missed at Scone last start, beaten narrowly by Cloud Cover when claimed in the final bound. Has drawn well and should be ready to peak third-up. Won’t mind a bit of sting out of the ground either. Looks the winner.
1st: No10 IN GOOD HEALTH 2nd: No7 The Black Widow; 3rd: No12 Slimline 4th: *SCRATCHED* No1 Alpine Royal
Echuca Race 4 - 2:00pm Border Inn Maiden Plate (1400 Metres)
Hard to go past SIR HARALD who looks a serious chance here today. Good effort when resuming from a spell, coming from last to finish 1.25 lengths from the winner in fourth spot. Will strip fitter second-up and will be the one flashing at them late. Has a good turn of foot. Key Player.
1st: No13 SIR HARALD 2nd: *SCRATCHED* No4 End Of Day; 3rd: No3 Dangerous Dan 4th: No6 Rocks For Free
Dubbo Race 5 - 2:45PM XXXX Gold Cup Sprint Prelude (1120 Metres)
ABSOLUTE RIPPER was narrowly beaten at Narromine last start and will be looking to atone for that narrow defeat here today. Will strip fitter second-up and we expect her to very competitive here today. Despite the wide draw she looks to be placed in the right race and expect her to fight out the finish. Sticking with her.
1st: *SCRATCHED* No6 ABSOLUTE RIPPER 2nd: No3 Bitburg; 3rd: No8 Any Blinkin’ Day; 4th: No2 Kenny Succeed
Dubbo Race 6 - 3:20pm NZ Racing & Rugby Benchmark 58 Handicap (1120 Metres)
This looks like a perfect race for the ultra-consistent BILLY BENT EAR to make it successive victories here today. Proved too good for his rivals when winning by 1.2 lengths at Quirindi a fortnight ago. Drawn to get the run of the race and looks the one they all need to beat. Can win again.
1st: No7 BILLY BENT EAR 2nd: No11 Sapience; 3rd: No8 Tattinger 4th: No2 Get To The Chopper
Echuca Race 10 - 5:00PM The Cal After The Last BM58 Handicap (1400 Metres)
Lightly raced mare, SHOCK SHOCK is racing in good form and looks perfectly placed to take out the final event at Echuca today. Stormed home to overpower her rivals when winning by less than a length defeating Bossy Rose. Drawn a tad wide so expect her to settle near the rear and be saved for one big crack at them in the straight. Will be storming home. Danger.
1st: *SCRATCHED* No12 SHOCK SHOCK 2nd: *SCRATCHED* No6 Fuse; 3rd: No3 Pique 4th: No4 Tanto Bianco
