Great to be back at Canterbury, a track that usually plays towards the frontrunners with a very short straight. The Waterhouse/ Bott stable have a few handy gallopers going around that can win again. Our top selection looks well placed and can get the day off to a flyer in the opening event.

Sticking with the Godolphin trained WAGNER (BEST BET) that’s resuming from a 16-week spell and looks to have the right race to bounce straight into the winners stall here today. Showed promise last preparation and ran great races against the very talented Ringerdingding and Tchaikovsky. Won a trial on Aug 20 in preparation for this.

PRESS BOX is filly out of astute Chris Waller stable that looks perfectly placed to break through for her maiden victory here today. Has had the benefit of two trials leading into her return and was narrowly beaten on debut on this track back in May. Trainer and jockey have a great strike rate when combining. The one to beat.
1st: No1 PRESS BOX 2nd: No5 So Taken; 3rd: No4 Bring The Magic; 4th: No6 Tepario
SEGENHOE has drawn well and sure to be very competitive once again here today. Led and kept going when saluting at huge odds at Randwick a fortnight ago defeating Vaucluse Bay by 1.3 lengths. Will be very competitive and can make it successive victories. Win won’t shock.
1st: No1 SEGENHOE 2nd: No3 All Cash; 3rd: No6 All Well 4th: No4 Prescience
DECROUX led and proved too good for his rivals when winning by 4.3 lengths at Kembla last start and looks ready to take the next step up in grade here today. Looked ultra impressive last start and will be hard to run down if he gets cheap sectionals. The short straight suits with the 62kgs the only concern.
1st: No1 DECROUX 2nd: No10 Lady Evelyn; 3rd: No7 Scratches 4th: No2 Tamarack
FALCON ISLAND won on this track last start and can make it successive victories here today. Showed good fight when defeating Gaugin by a length last start and will be rock hard fit and ready to fire. Will look to settle near the speed and prove hard to run down in the straight. Stick with him.
1st: No2 FALCON ISLAND 2nd: No7 He’s A Given; 3rd: No4 Gaugin; 4th: No6 Scream Park
Lightly raced and consistent JUNGLIZED finished three lengths behind Puppet Master on this track last start and will be rock hard fit third-up here today. Drawn a tad wide which is a slight concern but does have plenty of upside about him and with any luck can bounce back into the winner’s circle here today. There is a win around the corner.
1st: No1 JUNGLIZED 2nd: *SCRATCHED* No2 Alot Like Home; 3rd: No6 Red Rover; 4th: *SCRATCHED* No8 Rockafella
ALNAAS is out of the astute Joe Pride stable and looks well placed to run a huge race in the final event here at Canterbury today. Made up good ground when narrowly beaten by Seventh Chic at Gosford last start. Win wouldn’t surprise.
