Sunday Racing Tips - 2nd September

We have identified a few serious chances that will prove hard to beat to close out the weekend at Geelong and Moree today.

Fri, 31 Aug, 00:00

Geelong and Moree are the meetings that our selections come from with our tip of the day looking to make it back to back victories after proving too slick for his rivals last start.

Geelong is racing on a Soft 5 with the rail out 3m the entire circuit.

Moree is a Soft 5 with the rail true.

Geelong Race 2 - 12:30PM IGA Liquor at Ryans Torquay SV 3YO Fillies Maiden Plate (1312 METRES)

GRISAILLE (NEXT BEST) didn’t have a great deal of luck first-up behind boom galloper More Sundays when on debut at Geelong on August 6. Was trapped three-wide, albeit with cover, for the majority of the race and still battled on to finish fourth. Gets barrier two here and Damian Lane is a big plus. Worth a ticket.

1st: No4 GRISAILLE 2nd: No11 Stratumiss; 3rd: No10 Nadas; 4th: No12 Sword Of Mercy

Geelong Race 5 - 2:15PM IGA Liquor at Vallis Hamlyn Heights BM64 Handicap (1715 METRES)

Sticking with the Darren Weir-trained STORM HARBOUR to bounce back into the winner’s circle here today after just missing the placings a fortnight back. Looks to have found the right race and going on his 1.4 length defeat at Pakenham last start, he will be in hits for a long way. Drawn perfectly and is the one the beat.

1st: No5 STORM HARBOUR 2nd:  No2 The Dominator; 3rd: No1 Shauquin; 4th: No4 Akamon

Geelong Race 6 - 2:50PM IGA Liquor at Champions Grovedale Central Class 1 Handicap (1312 METRES)

FARSTAR (BEST BET) looked impressive when breaking through at Cranbourne last start and can go on with it now. Kicked hard in the straight to defeat Miss Matriarch by a length. Will strip fitter and has drawn to be very competitive once again. In good form.

1st: No7 FARSTAR 2nd:  No8 Petite; 3rd: No11 Itchy Ears; 4th No10 My Cherry

Geelong Race 8 - 3:55PM IGA Liquor at Barwon Heads BM64 Handicap (1412 METRES)

Drawn to get the run of the race, STRYKER QUEEN is ready to make it successive victories here today. Led and proved too smart for his rivals when defeating Secret Smuggler by 3.4 lengths at Sale last start. Has drawn a tad wide but has plenty of early speed so expect him to settle on the speed and be hard to run down. Will be in this for a long way. Can win again.

1st: No16 STRYKER QUEEN 2nd: No5 Royal Enigma; 3rd: No9 Battleborn; 4th: No2 Don’t Blush Baby

Moree Race 7 - 4:22PM Rescue Helicopter Moree Town Plate (950 METRES)

Sticking with the consistent ABSOLUTE RIPPER to atone for her narrow defeat at Narromine last start when beaten by less than a length. Will strip fitter second-up and looks to have found the right race here today. Drops in weight and will be very competitive. Big danger.

1st: No6 ABSOLUTE RIPPER 2nd: No9 Dan Roy; 3rd: No7 Next Level; 4th: No4 Love Me Baby
