Monday Racing Tips - 10th September
Our best bet of the day loves the sting out of the ground and appears to be a handy stayer that is ready to win again.
We have identified a few gallopers that will be ready to make a statement at Wellington and Queanbeyan today. Our top selection is a handy galloper who went around in a TAB Highway two starts ago and is ready to build on his last start win at Canberra.
Wellington is racing on a Soft 6 with the rail true.
Queanbeyan is a Heavy 8 with the rail true.
Wellington Race 1 - 1:45PM Maiden Plate (900 metres)
Can’t see anything upsetting SENT FROM ABOVE in the opening event of the program at Wellington today. Finished in the placings when beaten by Charbreet at Newcastle a fortnight ago. Looks perfectly placed to break through for her much deserved maiden victory. Serious chance.
1st: No5 SENT FROM ABOVE 2nd: No2 Timion; 3rd: No6 Haralben; 4th: No8 Zamali
Wellington Race 3 - 2:55PM Class 1 Handicap (1400 metres)
Sticking with the consistent ZIOPTIMUS to bounce back into the winner’s circle after two solid efforts before having a four-week layoff. Led and looked home before getting nailed on the line behind I Wear Prada at Quirindi last start. The form out of that race has been franked with I Wear Prada going on to win at Tamworth. Has drawn to get the run of the race and will be in this for a long way. Sticking with him.
1st: No6 ZIOPTIMUS 2nd: No7 The Iceman; 3rd: No5 Silk Topper; 4th: No11 Future In Doubt
Queanbeyan Race 4 – 3:15PM Muzzleburst Qracing Horse Of The Year Class 3 Handicap (1300 metres)
This looks a perfect race for CONSTITUTIONAL (BEST BET) to make it successive victories here today. Stormed home from the tail of the field to defeat Future Time by a length at Canberra last start and looks a serious player once again. Finished 11th but not beaten too far behind in Butchoy in a TAB Highway at Randwick prior to that. Has the form and a big show is expected.
1st: No2 CONSTITUTIONAL 2nd: No1 Justice Honor; 3rd: No7 Stitched Up; 4th: No5 King Of Sting
Wellington Race 4 - 3:35PM Benchmark 58 Handicap (1400 metres)
OUTTA SPACE (NEXT BEST BET) chased hard to just miss when finishing 0.2 of a length behind Raised To Duel at Dubbo last start and looks well placed to be a leading contender here today. Has won at his only attempt on this track back in April, looks a great hope in a race with few chances. Key player.
1st: No7 OUTTA SPACE 2nd: No9 Raised To Duel; 3rd: No4 Long Lasting; 4th: No8 Eagles Dare
Wellington Race 6 - 4:50PM Benchmark 58 Handicap (1100 metres)
*SCRATCHED* WITH PURPOSE is resuming from an 18-week spell and does look to have found a handy race first-up here today. Did win at Muswellbrook back in April and has had two solid trials leading into her return. Has plenty of speed to burn - the one to beat!
1st: *SCRATCHED* No8 WITH PURPOSE 2nd: No9 Tinmine; 3rd: No13 Sticket; 4th: No7 Eyesaw
