We have found a few winning hopes that will be looking to return into the winner’s circle and sure to be competitive here today. Our top selection will be looking to atone his narrow last start defeat in today’s winnable event.

Moe is racing on Soft 6 with the rail Out 6m Entire Circuit.

Mackay is racing on a Good 4 with the rail True.

Moe Race 2 - 2:00PM Moe Cup Oct 18 BM58 Highweight Handicap (2447 metres)

Looks a perfect race for in-form BLOOD AND SAND to rack up the hat-trick of victories here today after winning his past two starts impressively. Won by an astonishing five lengths when resuming from a spell at Warrnambool to go with his last start victory at Ballarat, defeating Bit of a Lad by 2.5 lengths. Has the form and looks as a serious player.

1st: No2 BLOOD AND SAND 2nd:  No4 Heeza Force; 3rd: No5 Lord Rum 4th: *SCRATCHED* No8 Kalalo

Moe Race 5 - 3:30PM RMBL Investments Rising Stars BM58 Handicap (1217 metres)

Lightly raced and ultra Consistent SIMCHA (BEST BET) looks well placed to atone for his narrow defeat on this track last start. Chased hard and loomed but couldn’t reel in the leader when going down by a neck with third another half length behind. Did defeat Octane by a short margin at Cranbourne two starts back. Rates well, ready to win!

1st: No1 SIMCHA 2nd:  No3 Ruth’s Boy; 3rd: No4 Nina Rules; 4th: No6 Trigger Point

Moe Race 6 - 4:00PM SNS Hire BM58 Handicap (1017 metres)

Sticking with the lightly raced GUESS AGAIN (NEXT BEST BET) to bounce back into the winner’s circle here today. Tried hard when fading into fourth position beaten by 1.2 lengths at Pakenham last start. Will strip fitter second-up and drawn to get the run of the race and be very competitive. Key player.

1st: No5 GUESS AGAIN 2nd:  No7 She’s A Pluck; 3rd: No2 Never Too Loud 4th: No6 Northkape

Moe Race 7 - 4:30PM Harvey Norman Moe BM64 Handicap (1117 metres)

Resuming from a 17-week layoff, the ex-Mick Price runner now Hawkes-trained MOET ROSE looks perfectly placed to bounce straight into the winner’s circle here today. Raced in much tougher races that what she faces today, including a half a length defeat to Reilmartini at Caulfield back in April. Has drawn perfectly on the rail to get the run of the race and does have a great record over the distance. Will be primed for a big first-up effort here today. Sticking with her.

1st: No7 MOET ROSE 2nd:  No4 Evil Cry; 3rd: No8 Extreme Bliss 4th: *SCRATCHED* No3 Classy Rebel

Mackay Race 7 - 5:30PM Tait & Co Chartered Accountants Class 1 Handicap (1200 metres)

Sticking with last start winner JABROOK to make it successive victories after she broke her maiden at Townsville last start. Looked good when defeating Oppenheimer by 1.8 lengths a fortnight back and she will once again be very competitive in this tougher event. Has drawn well and looks a serious player here today. Can make it back-to-back wins.

1st: No3 JABROOK 2nd:  No1 Durif; 3rd: No5 Prince Of Mine 4th: No6 Purrhaps
