Wednesday Racing Previews & Tips - Warwick Farm 19th September

We return to Warwick Farm for midweek racing and there are a few key hopes we have cherry-picked from the program.

Tue, 18 Sep, 7:50 AM

Chris Waller and the Godolphin stable look to have a leading hand at ‘the Farm’ today so following their stables could be the way to go. Our top pick finished in the placings last start but did win by four lengths on this track two starts back. Key player.

Warwick Farm is racing on a Good 4 with Rail True.

R5: 2,3,5,7

R6: 1,2,5,7

R7: 2,4,5,7

R8: 1,4,5,7

Warwick Farm Race 1 - 12:50PM Australian Turf Club Plate (1100 Metres)

Sticking with the Chris Waller first starter STARDOME who won his trial on this track and will be primed for a big debut here today. Has drawn well and will be very competitive in the opening event of the program. Key player.

1st: No5 STARDOME 2nd: No1 Eurosay; 3rd: No2 Fortification; 4th: No3 Golden Shoulder

Warwick Farm Race 2 - 1:25PM ANZ Bloodstock News Handicap (1400 Metres)

Sticking with Godolphin runner RANIER who has placed at all three starts to date and looks to have found the right race to break through here today. Beaten by 1.5 lengths behind Reginae at Randwick a fortnight back. Will strip fitter and looks a major player.

1st: No1 RANIER 2nd: No3 Kolding; 3rd: No2 Matowi; 4th: No8 Bring The Magic

Warwick Farm Race 3 - 2:00PM TAB Rewards Plate (1100 Metres)

*SCRATCHED* ADAMINA (NEXT BEST BET) looked good when narrowly beaten behind Starry at Newcastle last start and looks well placed to atone for that narrow defeat here today. Will look to settle near the speed and could prove hard to catch. Ran talented filly Fiesta to a narrow second in the Widden Stakes earlier in the year. Win won’t shock.

1st: *SCRATCHED* No1 ADAMINA 2nd: No3 Coco Diablo; 3rd: No4 Glamour Factor; 4th: *SCRATCHED* No7 Lashes

Warwick Farm Race 4 - 2:35PM Hyland Race Colours Handicap (2200 Metres)

HIGH BRIDGE finished hard to defeat Scratches by 1.3 lengths at Canterbury back in August and looks well placed to win again. A winner of seven of his 14 career starts, the lightly raced eight-year-old is sure to appreciate the extra 300 metres of this race. The son of Monsun is also a gun second-up, winning three and placing once from four starts at that stage of a prep. Serious player

1st: No4 HIGH BRIDGE 2nd: No2 White Boots; 3rd: No6 Keep Up; 4th: No7 Iron Duke

Warwick Farm Race 5 - 3:10PM The Agency Real Estate Handicap (1200 Metres)

RIDICULE has drawn well and looks to have found a very winnable race here today. Finished in the placings at Wyong last start when defeated three lengths by the very exciting Smart Melody, who won at Flemington on Saturday. Stick with this mare.

1st: No2 RIDICULE 2nd: No3 Kopite; 3rd: No5 Ellie’s Encore; 4th: No7 Blowing Kisses

Warwick Farm Race 6 - 3:45PM Everest Carnival Sprint (1100 Metres)

Another Godolphin runner that looks well placed and ready to strike sees ESPERANCE a huge chance to atone for his defeat behind Junglized at Canterbury last start. Sticking with this gelding who drops back to a distance he has tasted success over in the past. The money was on last start and they crunched him in the betting. Will they butter up again here? Looks a leading contender.

1st: No2 ESPERANCE 2nd: No1 Super Ex; 3rd: No5 Chalk; 4th: No7 Inanup

Warwick Farm Race 7 - 4:20PM On Top Of The World Mile (1600 Metres)

EXCELSIOR (BEST BET) looks hard to beat and going on his four-length thrashing on this track two starts back. Led and kept battling when finishing three lengths behind Zourkhan at Rosehill last start and will be very competitive here today. Slight drop in class helps his cause and is likely to be up in the firing line again. Big show expected.

1st: No2 EXCELSIOR 2nd: No5 Love Shack Baby; 3rd: No7 Hirokin; 4th: No4 Cambage

Warwick Farm Race 8 - 4:55PM #theraces Handicap (1400 Metres)

Tough race to close the program but we are sticking with the lightly raced and ultra consistent DESERT LORD that is resuming from a break. Finished a length behind Nieta at a Rosehill trial recently and indicates he could be ready to run a cracker first-up. Rates well.

1st: No5 DESERT LORD 2nd: No7 Smooth Whiskey; 3rd: No4 Andaz; 4th: No1 Spring Charlie
