SUNSET WATCH is resuming from a break but looks perfectly placed in the opening event of the program. Won at Caulfield back in March and going on his form last prep, he will be very competitive here. Has been gelded, Winning hope.

Moonee Valley Race 2 - 7:00PM The Sporting Globe Stocks Stakes (1600 Metres)

I AM A STAR looked impressive last start and can make it successive victories here tonight. Chased hard to get the bob on the line when defeating Bella Martini at Flemington a fortnight back and will be out to repeat that performance. Drawn well and looks like the one they will need to beat. Serious chance.

1st: No1 I AM STAR 2nd: No3 Samovare; 3rd No5 Mrs Gardenia; 4th: No2 Kenedna

TRAP FOR FOOLS (NEXT BEST BET) is racing in hot form of late and looks poised to make it three wins on the trot here tonight. Has won his past two starts both on this track and shapes as a major player over a distance he enjoys. Has been the subject of heavy support with several corporates too. The one to beat.

1st: No3 TRAP FOR FOOLS 2nd: No1 Harlem; 3rd: No6 Mask Of Time; 4th: No2 The Taj Mahal

Pick 6

Moonee Valley Race 4 - 8:00PM Ladbrokes 55 Second Challenge Heat 1 (955 Metres)

YOU’VE BEEN HAD is an ultra-consistent gelding that won well at his last start and can make it back-to-back victories resuming from a seven-week layoff. Proved too good for his rivals when defeating Saxophone by 2.8 lengths on this track and will be very competitive first-up. Looks ready to run a big race fresh in tonight’s dash for cash over the 955m. Sticking with him.

1st: No1 YOU’VE BEEN HAD 2nd: No4 Goldfinch; 3rd: No10 Royal Spinner; 4th: No6 Essence of Terror

Moonee Valley Race 5 - 8:45PM Carlton Draught Stutt Stakes (1600 Metres)

Looks hard to go past the lightly raced Darren Weir-trained LEONARDO DA HINCHI who was narrowly beaten by boom galloper Brutal at Flemington last start. Brutal also got the better of him in the McKenzie at this track two starts ago and drawn two here, will be sitting pretty turning for home. The one to beat.

1st: No4 LEONARDO DA HINCHI 2nd: No2 Muswellbrook; 3rd: No1 Outrageous; 4th: No5 Farooq

SWEET ROCKETTE is a lightly raced filly that looms as the one they all need to beat here tonight. Chased hard when beaten behind smart mare Smart Melody at Flemington a fortnight back and going on her win two starts back on this track, she sure can bounce back. Drawn well and will be flashing at them late. Big danger.

1st: No9 SWEET ROCKETTE 2nd: No7 Golden Script; 3rd: No8 Graceful Storm; 4th: No6 Humma Mumma

What a race! Hard to go past the speed machine and Everest bound NATURE STRIP (BEST BET) that looks well placed to take this out. This gelding is flying, winning his past four starts and will be out to make five in a row in today’s big event. Will settle near the speed and looks the winner halfway down the straight. The one to beat.

1st: No6 Nature Strip 2nd: No1 Brave Smash; 3rd: *SCRATCHED* No2 Voodoo Lad; 4th: No8 Houtzen

Moonee Valley Race 8 - 10:15PM Mypunter.com Handicap (1200 METRES)

ISAURIAN is a lightly raced galloper out of the astute Godolphin stable that looks hard to beat in the final event. Resumed from a spell with a hard-fought half-length victory at Sandown when defeating Invincible Al. Will strip fitter second-up and has the form to take this race out. Big danger.

1st: No5 ISAURIAN 2nd: No3 King’s Command; 3rd: No7 Labuan Star; 4th: No1 Loyalty Man
