Coonamble and Bairnsdale have their Cups today and we have identified a few gallopers that look well placed and are sure to be very competitive. Our top pick comes out of the Bairnsdale Cup and looks poised to make it successive victories here today.

Coonamble is racing on a Good 4 with the rail True.

Bairnsdale is a racing on Good 4 with the rail True.

Coonamble Race 1 - 1:07PM Onsite Fuel Maiden Plate (1100 Metres)

Looks a perfect race for *SCRATCHED* NICK THE SKIP (BEST BET) to break through after placing at Scone when resuming from a spell and is sure to strip fitter second-up here today. Doesn’t look a strong field in today’s opening event and we expect this gelding to be too good for his rivals today. Serious chance.

1st: *SCRATCHED* No9 NICK THE SKIP 2nd: No4 Dreamworthy; 3rd No2 Alpine Royal; 4th: No1 Regal Cannon

Coonamble Race 6 - 4:10PM Loch Lomond Border Leicester Stud Baradine Cup - Benchmark 66 Handicap (1400 Metres)

SEA LADT (NEXT BEST BET) resumed with a victory at Dubbo a fortnight back and looks perfectly placed to make it successive victories here today. Settled near the rear before unleashing a good turn of foot when defeating Sons Of Bourke by half a length over the 1100m, so the extra 300m here will definitely suit. Drawn well and will be launching at them late. Winning hope.

1st: No3 SEA LADY 2nd: No4 Dubali; 3rd: No5 Social Pirate; 4th: No9 Hammoon Bridge

Bairnsdale Race 6 - 4:15PM Member for Gippsland East Tim Bull BM64 Handicap (1000 Metres)

RAINBOW GIRL resumed from a break with a hard fought victory at Cranbourne a fortnight ago and will be looking to make it back-to-back victories here today. Settled with the leaders before gaining the upper hand in the final furlong to fend off all challengers when defeating Rich Itch by a small margin over the 1000m. Down in weights and is hard to beat.

1st: No11 RAINBOW GIRL 2nd: No1 Count The Interest; 3rd: No4 Never Too Loud; 4th: No5 Coral Rose

Coonamble Race 7 - 4:47PM Geronimo Farm Equipment & New Holland Coonamble Cup (1600 Metres)

Topweight A MAGIC ZARIZ is racing in consistent form of late and looks a serious chance to take out today’s Coonamble Cup over the 1600m. Stormed home in the Dubbo Cup from the second half of the field, just going down to Disturbance. Maps to get back in the pack again from gate 11 and be saved for one big run at them in the straight. Has a good finishing burst - can storm over the top of them late.

1st: No1 A MAGIC ZARIZ 2nd: No2 Red Knot; 3rd: No5 Miami Dade; 4th No3 All But Gone

Bairnsdale Race 7 - 4:50PM Patties Foods Bairnsdale Cup (1600 Metres)

Sticking with master trainer Darren Weir’s galloper ANOTHER COLDIE to take out today’s feature event. Looked impressive when defeating Andrea Mantegna by 2.3 lengths at Ballarat a fortnight back and will be ready to produce a similar effort today. In racing in good form and looks the one they all need to beat. Top pick.

1st: No3 ANOTHER COLDIE 2nd: No1 Holy Snow; 3rd: No4 Our Bottino; 4th: No5 Romancer
