THE AUTUMN SUN has caught the eye of punters despite being pretty short in Saturday’s Ladbrokes Caulfield Guineas.
One of many brilliant performers in the Chris Waller stable, The Autumn Sun was black figures across most bookies and corporates but it seems as though the smarties are jumping on early because the colt is now into red figures.
The money was already on The Autumn Sun prior to today’s barrier draw but after coming up with barrier five, punters that like to get on early had seen enough this afternoon and began backing him to take out another Group One.
A son of Redoute’s Choice has won four of his five starts which includes a last start win in the Golden Rose.
Outside of him, it is no surprise to see some speccing for Native Soldier. He has firmed up a few points at a few different bookies after coming up with gate four at the draw this morning.
Likely to be up on the speed, Native Solider has led throughout impressively at his past two starts at Caulfield and looked like a machine in doing so.
