Great day of racing today at Moe and Mackay and we have found a few gallopers racing in good form that are ready to win.

Tue, 16 Oct, 00:00

Moe and Mackay are the meetings that we have identified our selections for today and they look hard to beat. Our top pick is racing in great form and will be out to atone his last start defeat in today's winnable race.

Mackay is racing on a Good 4 with the rail True.

Moe is racing on a Good 4 with the rail True.

Moe Race 3 - 1:40PM TRFM Maiden Plate (1600 Metres)

Resuming from a six-week layoff, BILL THE BEE looks to have found the right race to break through for his maiden victory here today. Chased hard when finishing less than half a length behind Subraise at Ballarat last start and will be the one coming home hard once again. Doesn’t look a strong race on paper and we expect this colt to be very competitive today. Key player.

1st: No11 BILL THE BEE 2nd: No5 Solar Impact; 3rd: No2 Maldestro; 4th: No13 Perfect Award

Moe Race 4 - 2:15PM NEXTRA MOE Grand Handicap Exempt Race 4 (1000 Metres)

Lightly raced mare SEGOUIN finished three lengths behind the winner in town last start and looks better suited back in this company here today. Go on her two-length victory two starts back at Bairnsdale when leading from go to whoa and proving too slick for her rivals. Has good early speed which should see her get across from her barrier and lead the field into the straight. Has a good record over the distance. Look for her to bounce back.

1st: No7 SEGOUIN 2nd: No10 Go One Better; 3rd: No5 Kapara; 4th: No2 Breaker Of Chains

Pick 6

Moe Race 5 - 2:50PM 3GG BM64 Handicap (1600 Metres)

Looks a perfect race for the Mick Price-trained HULME (BEST BET) to bounce back after narrowly going down last start. Looked the winner only to be nabbed in the shadows of the post when finishing a lip behind Moet Rose at Ballarat. Has drawn to get the run of the race and shapes as a major contender here and will benefit from Jess Eaton’s 2kg claim. Hard to go past on current form. The one to beat.

1st: No1 HULME 2nd: No2 Ripplebrook; 3rd: *SCRATCHED* No3 Sensational Ally; 4th: No8 Guipure

Mackay Race 4 - 3:45PM Man About Menswear Qtis Three-Years-Old Handicap (1100 Metres)

Last start winner GYPSY TOFF (NEXT BEST BET) looks the one to beat going on his victory at this track last start. Looked impressive when running away to a length victory defeating Craiglea Ella and will be out to make it back-to-back victories in today’s very winnable event. Has drawn well and looks a serious threat to her rivals today. Race fitness could prove the key. Stick with her.

1st: No1 GYPSY TOFF 2nd: No2 Dalon; 3rd: No3 Edith Margaret; 4th: *SCRATCHED* No7 Mrs Dash

Moe Race 9 - 5:10PM Winning Edge Presentations BM70 Handicap (2050 Metres)

BOTTI stormed home to get the victory by the smallest of margins at Geelong last start and will be out to make it successive victories to close the program at Moe today. Will strip fitter second-up and going on his victory over Star Missile and Shootoutatdawn last start, he will be in this for a long way. Drawn perfectly and will go very close.

1st: No13 BOTTI 2nd: No2 The Thug; 3rd: *SCRATCHED* No3 Waking Moments; 4th: No7 Junior Burger
