Excellent midweek meeting at Caulfield today and there are some good gallopers that are racing in in form and ready to win. Our top pick is a very good three-year-old that has bigger fish to fry than today’s assignment.

Caulfield is racing on a Good 4 with the rail True entire circuit.

QUADDIE:

R5: 1,3,4,5

R6: 1,7,9,10

R7: 2,3,4,8

R8: 1,3,6,11

Caulfield Race 1 - 1:30PM Ladbrokes Multiverse Hcp (2400 Metres)

VALAC looks perfectly placed to take out the opening event of the program at Caulfield today. This gelding is racing in outstanding form of late and going on his 1.8 length victory at Morphettville last start he will prove hard to beat. Looks too good for this lot.

1st: No2 VALAC 2nd: No3 Royal Music; 3rd: No5 Steel Prince; 4th: No6 Opposition

Caulfield Race 2 - 2:00PM DrinkWise Plate (1600 Metres)

GHEEDAA has won her past two starts and looks hard to beat and ready to rack up the hat-trick of victories here today. Stormed home to defeat Gotta Be a Rockstar by 1.3 lengths at Kilmore a fortnight ago. Defeated The Shuffler by half a length two starts back on the Geelong Synthetic. Ticks all the boxes and is the one to beat.

1st: No8 GHEEDAA 2nd: No5 The Founder; 3rd No2 Cloak; 4th: No3 Silent Explorer

Caulfield Race 3 - 2:35PM The Pegasus Leisure Group Hcp (1400 Metres)

Lightly raced and consistent FIFTY STARS looks the one to beat and will be out to atone his last start defeat. Chased hard when finishing 1.7 lengths behind Sheriff John Stone at Benalla a fortnight ago and has won at his only second-up attempt back in July. Has the form and shapes as a key player. Danger.

1st: No7 FIFTY STARS 2nd: No4 Amadeus; 3rd: No10 Sunday Pray; 4th: No11 Wayanka

Caulfield Race 4 - 3:10PM FDC Handicap (1700 Metres)

ÉCLAIR CALLING is an ultra-consistent gelding that looks well placed to make it successive victories here today. Looked impressive when storming home to defeat Tezlah by a length on this track a fortnight ago and has the service of senior jockey C Williams on board. Will settle midfield and look for him coming home hard in the straight. Can win again.

1st: No3 ÉCLAIR CALLING  2nd: No1 A Shin Rook; 3rd: No7 Bedford; 4th: No8 Addison

Caulfield Race 5 - 3:45PM Catanach's Jewellers Blue Sapphire Stakes (1200 Metres)

Hard to go past the speed machine WRITTEN BY (BEST BET) that won on this track a fortnight back and will be out to make it successive victories here today. Has yet to taste defeat on the track, winning all three starts to date including the Blue Diamond last season. Serious galloper with plenty of early speed, should be winning this.

1st: No1 WRITTEN BY 2nd: No3 Performer; 3rd: No5 Smart Ellisim; 4th: No4 Tony Nicconi

Caulfield Race 6 - 4:25PM Ted Baker Ladies' Day Vase (1600 Metres)

I AM A STAR is a talented mare looking to make it three wins on the trot here today. Led and never looked like getting beat when defeating Mrs Gardenia by 1.2 lengths at Mooney Valley a fortnight back in the Group Two Stocks Stakes. Drawn a tad wide but has a load of ability on the day. Big show expected.

1st: No1 I AM A STAR 2nd: No7 Mrs Gardenia; 3rd: No9 Temper Of Bel; 4th: No10 Seductive Miss

Caulfield Race 7 - 5:05PM Ladbrokes Village Stakes (1200 Metres)

TREKKING (NEXT BEST BET) is an ultra-consistent gelding that looks to perfectly placed to rack up the hat-trick of victories here today. Won well on this track a fortnight back defeating the likes of Kemono and Heart Of A lion by 1.3 lengths. Hard to go past this gelding as he is flying of late and will be hard to beat once again. Top Pick.

1st: No3 TREKKING 2nd: No2 Pedrena; 3rd: No4 Basset; 4th: No8 Brave Song

Caulfield Race 8 - 5:45PM Ladbrokes Odds Boost Exotics Hcp (2000 Metres)

Open race with plenty of chance but sticking with the Darren Weir-trained LUCKY FOR ALL to take out the final event of the program at Caulfield today. Has placed at both of his starts since resuming from a spell including a 1.2 length defeat behind Al Galayel three weeks back. Has drawn well and will be the one flashing at them late. Big danger.

1st: No3 LUCKY FOR ALL 2nd: No6 Sasko; 3rd: No1 Laughing Heir; 4th: No11 Primitivo
