We return to Royal Randwick for another great meeting today. Our top pick looks a galloper that we will be hearing a lot more about in the futures. Seems to have a stack of ability and will be hard to beat here. Stick with him as he is very smart.

Randwick is racing on a Heavy 8 with the rail +8m 1600m-WP, +6m Remainder

QUADDIE:

R6: 8,9,10

R7: 2,3,6,8

R8: 3,4,6,8

R9: 2,4,5,6

Randwick Race 1 - 12:30PM Forum Group Kirkham Plate (1000 Metres)

Tricky race to start the day with a race mostly full of first starters bar the top weight. TIME TO REIGN is closely related to Golden Slipper winner She Will Reign and showed plenty of speed when winning a barrier trial by over three lengths. Bred to have plenty of early toe and drawn to be in this for a long way. Big danger.

1st: No6 TIME TO REIGN 2nd: No8 Evening Slippers; 3rd: *SCRATCHED* No1 Covert Ops; 4th: No5 Sedona

Randwick Race 2 - 1:05PM Daily Press Handicap (1600 Metres)

CALIFORNIA CONCORD has drawn perfectly and will be out to rack up the hat-trick of victories after winning his past two starts. Chased hard to defeat Cool And Neat by a long neck at Newcastle a fortnight back and will be the one coming home hard in the straight. Looks well placed to win again.

1st: No2 CALIFORNIA CONCORD 2nd: No1 Quackerjack; 3rd: No4 Lucky Helmet; 4th: No5 Ulusaba

Randwick Race 3 - 1:40PM TAB Highway Handicap (1100 Metres)

Sticking with LIFESAVER to atone for his 3.3 length defeat behind Sei Stella on this track five weeks back in the Highway Handicap. Has been freshened for this and has a great record over the distance. Drawn a tad wide but a win wouldn’t surprise.

1st: No3 LIFESAVER 2nd: No4 Missed Out; 3rd: No7 Burning Crown; 4th: No5 The Lion

Pick 6

Randwick Race 4 - 2:15PM City Tattersalls Club Cup (2400 Metres)

The ultra consistent EXOTERIC looks perfectly placed to take out the City Tatts Cup over the 2400m today. Has finished in the placings at his past three starts but going on his two length victory in the Port Macquarie Cup last start he will be in this for a long way. Has the form.

1st: No6 EXOTERIC 2nd: No2 Big Blue; 3rd: No4 High Bridge; 4th: No3 Invictus Prince

Randwick Race 5 - 2:50PM Kogaroo Handicap (1600 Metres)

Open race with plenty of hopes but going with the Peter Snowden-trained AMANITO that will be looking to bounce back after a disappointing effort last start. Did show promise before that run winning on the Kensington track defeating Darci’s Affair by 1.8 lengths. May pay to forgive her last start failure where the rider suggested she didn’t like racing inside horses.

1st: No7 AMANITO 2nd: No6 Live And Free; 3rd: No5 All Too Soon; 4th: No4 Astoria

Randwick Race 6 - 3:30PM Southern Cross Group Brian Crowley Stakes (1200 Metres)

DIPLOMATICO (NEXT BEST BET) looks to be a promising colt on the rise and will be out to make it successive victories after giving his rivals a galloping lesson when winning by 4.4 lengths. Many of the corporates have already reported good money for this Team Hawkes galloper which has pretty much halved its quote. Looked impressive when rounding up his competitors and running away to an effortless victory. Serious galloper.

1st: No9 DIPLOMATICO 2nd: *SCRATCHED* No2 Jonker; 3rd: No8 The Tenor; 4th: No10 Mansa Musa

Randwick Race 7 - 4:10PM ICD Property Nivision (1200 Metres)

ECKSTEIN looked impressive when defeating Spanner Head by 2 lengths at Flemington last start after being wide for the whole race. Will be even fitter for this third-up and looks the one to beat. Big show expected.

1st: No3 ECKSTEIN 2nd: No2 Pecans; 3rd: No6 Sold for Song; 4th: No8 Test the World

Randwick Race 8 - 4:55PM CLUBSNSW Handicap (1200 Metres)

MAXIMUS (BEST BET) is hard to go past here as he is racing in great heart. Looked good when hitting the line hard to defeat Right Or Wrong on this track a fortnight back and can make it successive victories with the perfect gate draw. Ticks all the boxes and shapes as a serious player over the 1200m.

1st: No6 MAXIMUS 2nd: No4 Marsupial; 3rd: No8 Top Striker; 4th: No3 Crafty Cop

Randwick Race 9 - 5:35PM Jem Computer Systems Handicap (1400 Metres)

Hard to go past in-form RIGHT OR WRONG who looks as a serious hope in the final event of the program at Randwick today. Chased hard but found one too good on the day when runner-up to the consistent Maximus on this track. Has had three runs back from a two-year absence from the track so he should be nearing peak fitness. Hard to beat.

1st: No5 RIGHT OR WRONG 2nd: No4 Don’t Give A Damn; 3rd: No2 Karavali; 4th: No6 Green Sweet
