Tuesday Racing Tips - 23rd October
We have identified a couple serious chances at Kilmore and Muswellbrook that look well placed to be very competitive today.
We have identified a few serious hopes for today’s meetings at Kilmore and Muswellbrook that have the form and look well placed to run a big race here today. Our top pick looks to have found another winnable race as he looks to make it successive victories after saluting at Port Macquarie a month back.
Kilmore is racing on Soft 7 with the rail Out 5m 1200m – 400m, True remainder.
Muswellbrook is racing on Soft 6 with the rail +6m from 1000m- 300m where cutaway applies.
Kilmore Race 1 - 1:30PM bet365 SV 3YO Maiden Plate (1462 Metres)
QUALITY APPROACH has finished runner-up at his two starts to date and looks perfectly placed to break through here. The Ciaron Maher and Dave Eustace-trained gelding is returning after six weeks when finishing behind runaway winner On the Podium at Wodonga back in September. Will be fit and ready to fire.
1st: No5 QUALITY APPROACH 2nd: No3 High Done; 3rd: No2 Flying Mr Davis 4th: *SCRATCHED* No7 Southern Yankee
Kilmore Race 3 - 2:30PM The Bendigo Club Maiden Plate (1612 Metres)
CASTLE ROCK has finished runner-up at his past two starts since resuming from a spell and looks to have found the right race to get his much deserved maiden victory here today. Go on his less than a length defeat at Pakenham back in September when beaten by in-form Soluminate. Then finished second, albeit five lengths back, to Chapada which ran an enormous second to Victoria Derby favourite Thinkin’ Big in the Norman Robinson on Saturday. Rates well.
1st: No2 CASTLE ROCK 2nd: No4 More Than Ever; 3rd: No6 Selwood; 4th: No10 Silver Scout
Kilmore Race 5 - 3:30PM CUB BM58 Handicap (1462 Metres)
Looks a good race for the consistent DIAMOND BEAUTY (NEXT BEST BET) to make it two wins from seven starts to date. This lightly raced filly finished in the placings at her previous start ay Kyneton when chasing hard to finish third, beaten less than a length. Expecting another solid performance by her and if she brings her A-Game she will be hard to beat. Serious chance.
1st: No8 DIAMOND BEAUTY 2nd: No4 Captain Smooth; 3rd: No9 Alsimon 4th: No1 Amschel
Muswellbrook Race 6 - 4:20PM Adelaide @ Coolmore Benchmark 58 Handicap (1280 Metres)
Liked the way YAMBAAH PRINCE (BEST BET) knuckled down in the final furlong to gain the upper hand and defeat Crossing Guard by a nose at Port Macquarie a month back before hitting the paddock for a short break. Has won second-up in the past and stays in a similar class while getting a 2kg claim for Robbie Dolan. Big danger.
1st: No3 YAMBAAH PRINCE 2nd: No2 Valknut; 3rd: No9 Jeff’s Folly 4th: No7 Toast
Kilmore Race 7 - 4:30PM Beraldo Coffee BM58 Handicap (2112 Metres)
Sticking with SHE’S A DIPLOMAT here today. Liked the way she fended off all challenges at her last start victory over the 2000m at Kyneton a fortnight back. Despite drawing a tad wide, we expect her to be up near the speed and be the one they all need to run down in the straight. The 2kg claim for Lewis German helps and could be the telling factor in the final few strides. Key player.
1st: No7 SHE’S A DIPLOMAT 2nd: No3 Armed and Ready; 3rd: No2 Skyfire 4th: No1 Eaton
