Wednesday Oakbank Tips - 24th October
Great meeting at Oakbank today with a few selections that will prove hard to beat.
We have found a few standout selections at Oakbank that look well placed and will prove to be very competitive here today.
Oakbank is racing on a Good 4 with the rail True.
Oakbank Race 1 - 1:20PM Melba's Chocolates / SABOIS Fillies & Mares Maiden Plate (1100 Metres)
FAITH IN GRACE has finished runner-up at her past two starts but looks to have found the right race to get her maiden win. Just missed when finishing a neck behind Strategic Agenda at Penola a fortnight ago when racing on the speed. Has the form to win this maiden and win it well.
1st: No2 FAITH IN GRACE 2nd: No1 Air Mail; 3rd: No3 Joanna; 4th: No7 Equal Love
Oakbank Race 5 - 3:50PM Ecycle Solutions Class Two Handicap (Heat 7 Happy Trails Series) (1400 Metres)
Sticking with the consistent VONRASANA that placed at Strathalbyn last start and will be a fitter proposition here. Comes into this second-up and has placed at this stage of a prep before. Does map to get back in his races but does come home with a wet sail. Win won’t shock.
1st: No2 VONRASANA 2nd: No1 Groove With Me; 3rd: No6 Texas Miller; 4th: No8 Swift Jet
Oakbank Race 6 - 4:30PM O'Leary Wines Maiden/Class 1 Plate (1100 Metres)
Hard to go past KETTERING that’s switched from Kris Lees to the Stephen Theodore stable. Resuming from a 10-week layoff, this gelding showed promise before the spell to be a major contender here today. Despite drawing a tad wide, we expect this gelding to settle near the firing line and prove too good for his rivals in the straight. Rates on top.
1st: No2 KETTERING 2nd: No6 True Liberty; 3rd: No5 Regal Eagle; 4th: No1 Deeks
