Friday Racing Tips - 2nd November

Can we head into the weekend with a few winners? You bet we can!

Wed, 31 Oct, 12:00 AM

We look to head into the weekend off a high with Wagga and Ipswich the meetings we have focused on. Our best bet of the day is first-up but won well at her only start and is aiming to maintain that unbeaten record here.

Wagga is racing on a Good 3 with the rail True.

Ipswich is racing on a Soft 5 with the rail 6 metres.

Wagga Race 1 - 1:35PM Batkin & Damme Smash Repairs Showcase Maiden Handicap (1000 Metres)

Sticking with TULLY TOFF that’s placed at four from seven starts to date and looks hard to go past in today’s opening event. This gelding is resuming from a 19-week break and looks poised today to break through for his maiden victory. Drawn to win.

1st: No1 TULLY TOFF 2nd: No4 Bravo Del Campos; 3rd: No2 Luvia; 4th: No6 Elm Court

Wagga Race 3 - 2:50PM Budget Benchmark 66 Showcase Handicap (1000 Metres)

*SCRATCHED* BANK OF ERIN has yet to miss a place from her six starts to date and has won twice with victory number three not too far away. Resumed from a break with an encouraging effort when going down narrowly behind Airino at Albury a fortnight back and will be out to go one better here. Mare that always gives her all and we expect her to be first past the post today. In good form and rates well.

1st: *SCRATCHED* No7 BANK OF ERIN 2nd: No3 Tycoon Tony; 3rd: No6 Missed Out; 4th: No9 Ribands

Pick 6

Ipswich Race 5 - 4:27PM (AEDT) Springmount Services QTIS Three-Years-Old BenchMark 65 Handicap (1200 Metres)

The Desleigh Forster-trained *SCRATCHED* DESERT DIGBY (NEXT BEST BET) is worth a ticket in this event. Comes into the race after finishing last to Light Up The Room at Doomben on October 20, however, prior to that he was third to the in-form Defence Missile at headquarters. She’s Choosie ran second on that particular day and she has since run in a far stronger race at Grafton where she wasn’t beaten all that far. From barrier six, Jimmy Orman should have the son of Golden Archer on the speed as that’s where he likes to race. Hard to toss.

1st: *SCRATCHED* No4 DESERT DIGBY 2nd: No5 Snicki Minaj; 3rd: No1 Big Arjay; 4th: No3 Chikorita

Wagga Race 6 - 4:40PM Adams Kenneally White & Co Class 1 & Maiden Showcase Plate (1600 Metres)

Topweight LAUGHING OR CRYING finished two lengths behind Imitation Game at Canberra last start and can bounce back here today over the 1600m. This gelding will be rock hard fit third-up from a break and has drawn to get the run of the race. Maps to be in the first half of the field and should be there fighting out the finish. Key player.

1st: No1 LAUGHING OR CRYING 2nd: No4 Palamedes; 3rd: No6 Rocky High; 4th: No5 Rising Force

Wagga Race 8 - 5:55PM Treasury Wine Estates Class 1 Showcase Handicap (1200 Metres)

SAUSEDGE (BEST BET) is resuming from a 15-week break but looks hard to go past going on her maiden victory at Moruya back in July. Sat just behind the speed before pouncing in the straight to defeat Moore Euros by a long neck and can make it successive victories to kick start her racing career. Drawn well, expected to be very competitive, should go close.

1st: No8 SAUSEDGE 2nd: No11 First Rose; 3rd: No6 Liu Bang; 4th: No7 Nothing
