This Weekends 5 Best Bets
We've gone through our tips and have found you the five best bets for the weekend from horse racing, NFL and UEFA Nations League.
Horse Racing – Rosehill Race 4
The Tip: Exoteric
Why: Racing in red hot form and he will be looking to make it three straight victories. The Chris Waller-trained gelding is in racing in career best form, winning the Port Macquarie Cup and Tatts Cup and is definitely the one to beat here. Ticks all the boxes.
Horse Racing – Sandown Race 6
The Tip: Fifty Stars
Why: Looks hard to beat going on his consistent form. Yet to miss a place from seven starts to date, this Darren Weir-trained gelding has won five times and looks well placed to rack up victory number six here today. Winning form is good form!
Football – Serbia v Montenegro
The Tip: Serbia
Why: For this one, we're backing a Serbian victory; they beat Montenegro 2-0 back in October away from home, and still lead the group despite playing three of their four matches on the road.
Aleksandar Mitrovic has cemented himself as Serbia’s talisman - scoring four goals in his last three Nations League matches - and having a consistent goalscorer is what separates sides at this level.
Football – Malta v Kosovo
The Tip: Kosovo
Why: The Maltese have just two points from their four group matches – which is pitiful in League D – and they will not be adding to that tally after table-topping Kosovo come to town.
Though Kosovo has only managed away draws against Azerbaijan and the Faroe Islands, their opponents this time around are a lot weaker, and considering Malta have suffered home defeats to Luxembourg and Georgia (who had ten men for 40 minutes), we don’t see them having enough quality to get anything from this game.
NFL – Los Angeles Rams v Kansas City Chiefs
The Tip: Over 60.5 Points
Why: Two of the hottest teams are going head to head and offensively, these two are setting the bar. Patrick Mahomes is going on a magical run and Jared Goff is now rolling in his own right. Further, both defences give up yards in chunks and both are best when rushing the passer.
It was going to be explosive anyways, but now the game is back on the LA surface, we could see Madden-like numbers being put up. It’s some of the highest over/under lines in the NFL for 30 years, but we’re going over.
