Thu, 13 Dec, 12:00 AM

Looks a great program at Royal Randwick with a few favourites looking well placed here today. Our top pick is racing in great form of late and will be looking to make it three on the trot. Has serious speed and does run slick sectionals.

Randwick is racing on a Soft 6 with the rail True.

R6: 1,4,8,9

R7: 7,10,11,13

R8: 3,12,15,16

R9: 3,4,9,12

Randwick Race 1 - 1:10PM TAB Highway Handicap (1000 Metres)

SEI STELLA is a lightly raced mare that’s won three from her five starts to date and looks well placed to take out the opening event of the program at Randwick today. Has won twice when first-up and excels over the distance. Won a Highway at her last start. Danger.

1st: No4 SEI STELLA 2nd: No3 Lifesaver; 3rd: No6 Risk and Reward; 4th: No9 Mick the Hat

Randwick Race 2 - 1:50PM Summer Racing Handicap (1100 Metres)

*SCRATCHED* TELL ME has won her past two starts and will be looking to make it three in a row here today. Despite the wide draw, this mare has a huge chance going on her past two victories. Has a touch of class and although stepping up in grade, rates on top.

1st: *SCRATCHED* No12 TELL ME 2nd: No9 Connemara; 3rd: No13 Military Zone; 4th: No1 Mad For Art

Randwick Race 3 - 2:25PM Catanach’s Handicap (1200 Metres)

SWEET SCANDAL will strip fitter second-up and looks a serious chance here today. Has drawn to get the run of the race and going on her form last preparation she will prove very hard to beat. Confident she will go close.

1st: No6 SWEET SCANDAL 2nd: No4 Seasons; 3rd: *SCRATCHED* No10 Pumpkin Pie; 4th: No8 Savvan

Randwick Race 4 - 3:00PM Christmas Cup (2400 Metres)

EXOTERIC will prove hard to beat going on his current good form. Looked impressive when storming home to defeat Our Century by 1.8 lengths at Rosehill a fortnight back. Has the form with three wins from his past four starts and has beaten most of his rivals during that span. Stick with him.

1st: No3 EXOTERIC 2nd: No2 Our Century; 3rd: No5 The Bandit; 4th: No4 Wall of Fire

Randwick Race 5 - 3:40PM Inglis Nursery (1000 Metres)

Sticking with STRASBOURG who won well on debut at Newcastle and looks ready to take the next step up in grade here today. Chased hard to defeat Snowzone by two lengths at Newcastle and can make it succesvie victories. Serious player.

1st: No1 STRASBOURG 2nd: No2 Stronger; 3rd: No5 Enforcement; 4th: No7 Blazing Miss

Randwick Race 6 - 4:20PM Razor Sharp Handicap (1200 Metres)

Looks a perfect race for the speed machine CRADLE MOUNTAIN (NEXT BEST) to make it a hat-trick of victories since resuming. Led and fought off all challengers when defeating Dyslexic by half a length at Rosehill last start. Has drawn perfectly and will prove hard to run down once again. The gelding is flying and ready to win again. Top pick.

1st: No9 CRADLE MOUNTAIN 2nd: No4 Fell Swoop; 3rd: No8 Marsupial; 4th: No1 Deploy

Randwick Race 7 - 5:00PM Fugen Construction Villiers Stakes (1600 Metres)

SKY BOY (BEST BET) is flying of late and looks ready to make it five wins on the trot. This Anthony and Edward Cummings-trained gelding has turned the corner and racing in superb form. Chased hard to defeat Fierce Impact by a length at Rosehill a fortnight ago. Steps up to Group 2 company but has had this race in mind from the outset.

1st: No13 SKY BOY 2nd: No10 Sambro; 3rd: No7 Interlocuter; 4th: No11 Goodfella

Randwick Race 8 - 5:35PM Total Construction Handicap (1600 Metres)

Hard to go past last start winner ORGANZA as she looks to make it back-to-back victories. Looked impressive when running on strong in the straight to defeat Reflectivity by a length at Rosehill last start and we expect to see that good turn of foot once again down the Randwick straight. Will be flashing at them late.

1st: No15 ORGANZA 2nd: No16 So You Win; 3rd: No12 Plaisir; 4th: No3 Dagny

Randwick Race 9 - 6:10PM Australian Turf Club Handicap (1400 Metres)

REGENT looked good when defeating Coterie by 1.4 lengths at Warwick Farm last start and looks ready to make it successive victories in today’s final event. Will strip fitter second-up and has a great record over the distance so watch for him flying home late. The one to beat.

1st: No9 REGENT 2nd: No12 Super Star Bob; 3rd: No4 Kool Vinnie; 4th: No3 Gresham
