Looks a great program at Royal Randwick this Boxing Day with a few favourites looking well placed. The Summer Cup looks a great race and that’s where our top tip is going around in. The Chris Waller-trained runner has been flying since a spell and placed in Listed company last time out.

Randwick is racing on a Soft 7 with the rail +3m Entire.

QUADDIE:

R5: 1,4,7

R6: 2,4,6,8

R7: 3,9,11,12

R8: 3,5,7

Randwick Race 1 - 1:05PM TAB Handicap (1600 Metres)

ZALATTE looks hard to go past in the opening event of the program. This filly has won her only two starts to date and knocked off the highly rated Baller at her previous outing at Rosehill in early December. Big chance to notch the hat-trick.

1st: No1 ZALATTE 2nd: No2 Snippetspeed; 3rd: No3 Welsh Legend; 4th: *SCRATCHED* No7 Flying Mojo

Randwick Race 2 - 1:45PM #theraces Handicap (1100 Metres)

ROCKETING TO WIN is a colt out of the astute Snowden stable on debut here today. Has had the benefit of two trials leading into this and has drawn well so expect him to settle on speed. Respect.

1st: No7 ROCKETING TO WIN 2nd: No6 Olympic; 3rd: No5 Jailbreak; 4th: No1 Bacchus

Randwick Race 3 - 2:20PM Bowermans Office Furniture Handicap (2400 Metres)

Liked the way TUNERO chased at Canterbury a fortnight back when finishing 1.5 lengths behind Dylan’s Romance at Canterbury. Despite the wide draw, this Chris Waller-trained gelding is racing in fine form and going on his victory two starts back he will prove hard to beat today. Stick with him.

1st: No3 TUNERO 2nd: No1 Equipped; 3rd: No6 Knight Star; 4th: No4 Red Dream

Randwick Race 4 - 2:55PM Australian Turf Club Handicap (1100 Metres)

NICCONITA is resuming from a 21-week spell but going on her form last preparation she looks well placed to bounce straight back into the winner’s stall. Has drawn well in barrier three and maps to be in the first half of the field. Ran four straight second placings at Highway level before going for a break. Major player.

1st: No11 NICCONITA 2nd: No8 Sophiella; 3rd: No5 Musical Genius; 4th: No3 Mileage

Randwick Race 5 - 3:30PM ANZ Bloodstock News Handicap (1100 Metres)

Sticking with SILVER MELODY (NEXT BEST BET) that’s racing in good form in easier company. Has won twice and placed twice in her first four starts and although stepping up to city class for the first time, has to be considered a contender. Gets a 2kg claim for Sam Weatherley which helps. Has the form and can take the step up in grade.

1st: No7 SILVER MELODY 2nd: No4 That Song; 3rd: No1 Above And Beyond; 4th: *SCRATCHED* No6 Laburnum

Randwick Race 6 - 4:10PM Hyland Boxing Day Sale Handicap (1600 Metres)

THE PROMISE has had three solid runs back from a spell and looks hard to toss in this. The daughter of Snitzel won back-to-back races to start the campaign but then was second to Savvy Ken at Hawkesbury last time out. Drawn seven, she maps to be in the back half of the field anyway but possesses a big finish on her. Sam Weatherley’s 2kg claim is a plus.

1st: No8 THE PROMISE 2nd: No6 Wokurna; 3rd: No2 Tahsin; 4th: No4 Another Scrappy

Randwick Race 7 - 4:50PM Summer Cup (2000 Metres)

MY NORDIC HERO (BEST BET) finished a length behind the talented Skyboy on this track last start and looms as a serious threat to his rivals going on that placing. In racing in good form since returning from a spell and his placing in the Villiers behind Skyboy puts him in good stead for this. Distance of 2000m suits. Big watch.

1st: No3 MY NORDIC HERO 2nd: No9 Goodfella; 3rd: No11 Roman Son; 4th: No12 Fierce Impact

Randwick Race 8 - 5:30PM Boxing Day Sprint (1200 Metres)

*SCRATCHED* GRAND FINALIST is resuming from a 31-week layoff but with two solid trials under his belt, he will be fit and ready to fire here today. Will look to take a forward position when the gates open and on his home track will take plenty of beating. Win won’t shock.

1st: *SCRATCHED* No6 GRAND FINALIST 2nd: No3 Crafty Tycoon; 3rd: No7 Juventus; 4th: No5 You Make Me Smile
