Mornington and Coffs Harbour are the meetings today’s selections come from and we expect our top pick to be extremely hard to beat. Winner by over three lengths last start, this galloper is out of the smart Toby Edmonds yard so take note of any positive betting moves because if the money is on, load up!

Mornington is racing on a Good 4 with the rail out 6m entire circuit.

Coffs Harbour is racing on a Soft 5 with the rail true.

Mornington Race 1 - 1:30PM Progress Signs Plate (1000 Metres)

SUNSHINE JIMMY finished 2.2 lengths behind Moski at Moe a fortnight ago and looks ready to peak third-up from a break. Has drawn to get the run of the race from gate three and will be the one flashing at them late. Looks well placed.

1st: No5 SUNSHINE JIMMY 2nd: No1 Blazing Harada; 3rd: *SCRATCHED* No7 Factor Ex; 4th: No6 Can Star

Mornington Race 5 - 3:30PM European Auto Refinishers Handicap (1200 Metres)

*SCRATCHED* DENTARA is a lightly raced filly that’s placed at four of her five starts to date and going on her maiden victory at Terang last start, she will take a power of beating. Has drawn well so expect her to lead and prove hard to run down in the straight. Can take the next step.

1st:*SCRATCHED* No8 DENTARA 2nd: No4 Truly A Star; 3rd: No6 Riverina Dancer; 4th: No2 Dental

Mornington Race 6 - 4:00PM Avis Mornington Handicap (1500 Metres)

Last start winner CIRCOMO looks perfectly placed to make it back-to-back victories here today. Led and just held on when defeating Coronel by a short margin on this track and will be out to replicate that performance in today’s event. Has the form and can win again.

1st: No2 CIRCOMO 2nd: No1 Young Hostess; 3rd: No6 May Be Fate; 4th: No7 La Bella Jude

Coffs Harbour Race 7 - 4:50PM Any Entertainment Class 1 Handicap (1200 Metres)

PHOENIX GLOBAL (BEST BET) is a lightly raced colt with plenty of talent. Looked impressive when blowing his rivals away by 3.5 lengths at Ipswich a fortnight back and is perfectly placed to make it back-to-back wins. Did run home (600m) in a slick 35.3 and with any luck he should be the first galloper past the post. Looks a class above this lot. Top pick.

1st: No3 PHOENIX GLOBAL 2nd: No2 Heredero; 3rd: *SCRATCHED* No7 Mornay; 4th: No14 Rosy Elsie

Mornington Race 8 - 5:00PM Mornington Auto Group Summer of Racing Handicap (1200 Metres)

*SCRATCHED* RUNSATI (NEXT BEST BET) chased hard to defeat Come On Carl by half a length on this track last start and will be hard to go past in the final event of the program. Has drawn to get the run of the race and has a good turn of foot so watch for him storming home late. Serious chance.

1st: *SCRATCHED* No3 RUNSATI 2nd: No1 Wind Force; 3rd: No5 Rossman; 4th: No2 Mr Optimistic
