Nowra Racing Tips - Monday 14th January

We have run the rule over the Nowra card to hopefully nail us a few winners to get the week off to a great start.

Sat, 12 Jan, 12:00 AM

Nowra is the meeting we have concentrated on and we have found a few handy horses that can get our week off to a flyer. The best of the lot is a maiden but this looks the race where that first career win will be notched up. Well placed and will take a power of beating.

Nowra is racing on a Heavy 8 with the rail true.

Nowra Race 1 - 1:10PM Joylands Huskisson Carnival Class 1 Handicap (1100 Metres)

Looks a two horse race but sticking with the topweight BAD BOY FOR LOVE to bounce back after a disappointing effort at Kembla last start. Go on his 1.5 length maiden victory at Hawkesbury when proving too smart for his rivals. Failed in the race won by the smart Sheriff last time out. Danger.

1st: No1 BAD BOY FOR LOVE 2nd: No2 Don’t Doubt Arthur No; 3rd: No7 Mop The Floor; 4th: No4 Highton

Nowra Race 3 - 2:20PM Shoalhaven Zoo Maiden Handicap (1400 Metres)

Looks a perfect race for HUSH MONEY (BEST BET) to breakthrough for her much deserved maiden victory here today. This Brad Widdup-trained filly chased hard in the straight at her previous start at Orange when finishing less than a length behind Regal Cannon and will be primed for a big display third-up from a break. Looks to have found the right race.

1st: No4 HUSH MONEY 2nd: No3 Tic Tock Man; 3rd: No7 Mr Costigan; 4th: No9 Cosmic Caper

Nowra Race 4 - 2:55PM Archer Miniature Railway Maiden Handicap (1400 Metres)

Resuming from an 11-week layoff sees DECAPITOR ready to get his maiden victory out of the way after placing in six from his 12 starts to date. Finished a nose away behind Mangione at Canterbury before going for a break and obviously has ability. Drawn three, he is a serious player with any luck.

1st: No3 DECAPITOR 2nd: No6 Vuni; 3rd: No7 Nicoya; 4th: No2 Kentucky Award

Nowra Race 6 - 4:10PM Shoalhaven Water Benchmark 58 Handicap (1600 Metres)

Sticking with AHMAD (NEXT BEST BET) who looked ultra-impressive on this track last start and will take a power of beating once again. Took a sit behind the leader before exploding in the straight for a convincing 2.8 length victory and that performance sees him the one to beat here today. Looks well placed and can make it successive victories.

1st: No1 AHMAD 2nd: *SCRATCHED* No6 Riverset; 3rd: No5 Art Of Defence; 4th: No3 Kitty’s Own

Nowra Race 8 - 5:30PM Daniel Dwyer Kid’s Parties Maiden Plate (1100 Metres)

HORN has placed at three of his five starts to date but does look well placed to break the duck. Chased hard when finishing in the placings, beaten less than a length on this track a fortnight ago behind Accountant. Stable is firing after a big double at the Gold Coast on the weekend. Key player.

1st: *SCRATCHED* No6 HORN 2nd: No8 Reoffender; 3rd: No3 Expellable; 4th: No11 Spicy Mo
