We have identified a few key players at Dubbo and Wodonga to round out the weekend. Our top pick will be looking to bounce back after finishing out of the placings last start. Looks to have found a winnable race.

Wodonga is racing on a Good 4 with the rail Out 4m 300m-1600m, true remainder.

Dubbo is a Good 4 with the rail True.

Dubbo Race 2 - 1:20PM Furney’s Horseland Dubbo Class 2 Showcase Handicap (1100 Metres)

Liked the way TIKKITALA chased to finish 1.4 lengths behind Malea Magic at Port Macquarie last start and expecting massive improvement from this lightly raced gelding today. Has drawn a tad wide so will need some luck but looks well placed to be competitive. Danger.

 1st: No2 TIKKITALA 2nd: No5 Ibini; 3rd: No4 Alcatran 4th: No7 In Good Health

Dubbo Race 4 - 2:30PM Dubbo RSL Club Resort Class 1 Showcase Handicap (1400 Metres)

HEALING HANDS is a lightly raced gelding that’s looked impressive at his two starts to date which includes a dominant 1.3 length victory on debut on this track in December. Finished 2.7 lengths behind Syd’s Footprints at Muswellbrook before going for a month freshen up. Looks perfectly placed.

1st: No1 HEALING HANDS 2nd: No2 Charlotte’s Heart; 3rd: No5 Traffic Cop; 4th: No11 Zaze

Wodonga Race 5 - 3:20PM RMR Engineering F&M BM58 Handicap (1100 Metres)

Expecting MEOW to bounce back after a disappointing effort last start at Geelong when finishing well back. Go on her maiden victory two starts back at Mornington when storming home to win by a length. Will strip fitter third-up. Key player.

1st: No1 MEOW 2nd: No4 Delta Rose; 3rd: No8 Anacott Steel 4th: No5 Sunny Blu Sky

Wodonga Race 6 - 3:50PM Good luck Steve Keene BM70 Handicap (1100 Metres)

Third-up from a break sees TYPHOON RUBI (BEST BET) the one to beat over the 1100m here today. Finished just out of the placings at Sandown last start and will be out to bounce back in what is a far more suitable race. Has drawn to get the run of the race and expecting her to be a major player here today. Top pick.

1st: No7 TYPHOON RUBI 2nd: No4 Superoo; 3rd: No6 Lady Mironton; 4th: No2 Non Paear

Dubbo Race 7 - 4:30PM WRA Country Championships Qualifier (1400 Metres)

Ultra-consistent A MARTIN PLACEPICK (NEXT BEST BET) looks the one to beat in the Country Championship Qualifier at Dubbo today. The topweight oozes class and going on his last start victory at Parkes he will take a power of beating as he looks towards the rich Final. Respect.

1st: No1 A MARTIN PLACEPICK 2nd: No2 Thermosa; 3rd: No4 Westlink; 4th: No9 Mango Liston
